All work, no play, they say, makes Jack a dull boy, although I'm not Jack and neither do what I'm saying as to do with play, but then there's this adage in my dialect that omo toba sese dede, o ye koni aye igbadun
, meaning someone who works diligently shows at least have a time to enjoy, and with that in mind, I can't help but reminiscing on when last I took myself on a trait in the past few months, so I decided to do just that this past weekend.
So it happened that I've worked tirelessly both online and offline. From participating in the Zealy campaign organized by the Inleo team to having to stay awake at odd hours at night just to complete the various quests, I ended up being tired and stressed out. Luckily, the campaign was concluded, and I thought I had time to rest, but fate had other plans. Well, it turns out that an interhouse competition was organized at my workplace offline, and I was given the duty of a house master, meaning I'm more or less like their coach and guide, whose duty it is solely to guide the students in my house to victory. That took and consumed my team's energy, but then it's what it's.
So I trained the students in the difference event, and thereafter we've begun the main event and competition, which is going smoothly for now, but then another hive-zealy campaign has begun, and these two activities running side by side just got me drained, but as I need to make ends meet, I've no choice but to give it my all, so I'll be glad I did in the end.
Well, without beating around the bush, this weekend, I was so stressed out and exhausted that rather than just eating the normal meal I'm used to, I decided to treat myself to something else, so I withdrew some of the prize I got from the last month's Zealy campaign and brought this shawarma and a drink to go with it.
Although I'm not much of a fan of sweet things, it's good to taste something different and unique than what I've been eating prior to the shawarma. After the shawarma, the next day I still went to a popular restaurant in my neighborhood and ordered a plate of rice and chicken, which was yummy and delicious, but as I'm not too comfortable snapping that in public, I guess we'll just have to make do with just the shawarma picture. Most times I just do things for my loved ones and relatives and mostly sideline myself, but I think I'll keep adding myself to the list going forward. Everyone deserves special traits just like I did, so if you're like me, then I guess it's high time you also just take that bold step to treat yourself to something good. It doesn't have to be up to me; just cut your coat according to your side and celebrate yourself because you're special.
