It was a day to remember yesterday as our school football team came out Victorious in the interschool Principal Cup Competition we've been involved in since last month, as we defeated out opponents 2-0, to clinch the cup.
Ecwa Senior Secondary school football team is one of our toughest opponent over the years, in the this same competition last year, they bear us in the final on penalty, so before the game, we knew who we are up against and our good they're, and how much they love to keep possession.
Since we know they love to keep possession and press there opponent, we trained had and tried to device a mean of not falling victim of there tactics, by playing an average defensive football, that take advantage of lose ball to throw long passes and move upward with a counter attack.
Our captain, who's also the best player of the tournament and man of the match despite being a defender.
And fortunately for us, the tactics worked for us in the first half, and before the realize and make amend, we've already put in 2 goals into their net, despite the fact they were the one winning over 70% of the possession.
We were able to capitalise on lose ball during their possession, and play through ball to our striker who's waiting in the halfway line.

After both goals was scored, they change there formation, and it became difficult to play the way we want so, we defender throughout the first half, second half came and they possess us the more, but we have our defenders and goalkeeper to thank for saving us several times, with decisive tackles and goal line clearances.

When the final whistle was blown, we were filled with joy, the football team, we the teachers, and students who came to support the team, ran to the field to celebrate the Victory.
Personally I was excited because the effort of the coaches didn't go to waste, during the celebration, the principal received a phone call that the king of the village where our school is located is excited and promise to host the football team tomorrow at his palace.
The team was called up to receive the trophy 🏆 and medals 🏅 after everything as calmdown, it was a remarkable moment, and we all celebrate from the field back to our school.
It's was a pleasant experience to come out Victorious and now we have all week to celebrate and then hope to win subsequent competition.
