VOLUNTEERING IS A NOBLE ACT

Volunteering is one of the most noble acts we humans can participate in, as a form of service to mankind, animals and our ecosystem as a whole, and it takes someone with the kindest of hearts and an empathy for others to participate in such free service that helps others in their trying moment.

Like I said earlier, it takes someone with empathy for others to volunteer to help others in need without any mindset of getting something in return for such act, and we obviously don't need to join an organisation that conveys volunteer before we can practice such, because our world is filled with so much pain, suffering and people going through one difficulties or another, so helping our neighbors or the simile insignificant beggar on the street is an act of volunteering that is worthy of emulation for all.

Volunteering can be to our ecosystem or environment too, by we just volunteering to clean and clear the street of dirt that liters the street and in the end cause of illness, happenings or natural disasters like flood to mention but few.

I've been involved in many volunteer work around me, some are personal conviction to help improve life of people around me, while others are collective work done with others to aid the betterment of life, our environment and as well to create a world befitting and perfect to be left behind for the coming generations.

One of my most recent volunteer work was at a village I visit in Kwara state Nigeria, during my visit I noticed the children there where very good at playing football, but the lack adequate teachers in their schools, so these made them lack behind in most academic competition and only excel in sport.

So I took it upon myself to help them, by taking to the principal that I'll love to come and assist him in teaching the kids for free, it was a relief and a thing of joy for him, because he and only two other teacher were the ones teaching all subjects in all classes the school has.

And from then henforth, I visit the school twice a week to teach the students different subject, as much as I can perfectly teach, and with time the children start to improve gradually on their academics as well.

It was a thing of joy to see them improve in these areas, and later some of the parents offer to pay for my service, since the other three teacher at the school are being paid by the government, but I bluntly refuse, letting them know that it's all done out of love and the desire to see the children from that school except in all aspects.
