HELLO HIVE

Happy weekend Everyone, and welcome to my blog this beautiful and calm afternoon, today I'll love to take you through my mini farmland, as I update you on the state of each crops from the last time I shared about them and how they're fairing presently.

It's been a while I visit my mini farmland, because I traveled to another state few weeks ago, and when I came back I've been busy with the water tank stand project and the activities revolves around the plumbing works within the house, and these as got me so preoccupied, but today I took out time to see how each one is fairing.

For the Cassava farm few blocks from my house which I attended to about three weeks ago, it's become bushy and filled with weed, and this is because no one as been around to help we weed out the unwanted grasses growing alongside the cassavas, and today I couldn't do anything either, because I only came to check up on them, I'll probably come back tomorrow for the weeding.

IMG_20220814_155452.jpg The cassava in these farmland are meant for commercial purposes that will earn me more money, unlike the one in my backyard that are meant to sustain my family alone. IMG_20220814_155459.jpg

The once at the backyard garden seems to be doing fine too, although some weeds are growing around it too, but I think due to the fact that I regularly walk within the farm to harvest some maize or cut some vegetables, that as made the grasses not to grow as high as there were in the other farm, I've use my hands to uproot the ones I saw around the maize, since they ain't that much. My India spinach vegetables are looking so fresh and healthy, and it doesn't seems to miss me at all, in my absence there as been consistent rain, so that as been a source of watering for it, and the branch of the tree I planted it around is still wide, so it's taking it time to spread it branches across it.

And now that I'm back home, I've missed eating fresh and healthy meal, that are different from the junk food I've been taking for the past few days, so now I'll be cutting some of the spinach to cook a vegetable soups, thats one of the beauty of being a farmer, you easily visit your farm to harvest some crop to met your immediate needs. That's about all for today, in my next post I will most likely be sharing the process of making palm oil from palm kernel, because I've just brought several kernel which I hope to derive some palm oil from.
