TIPS THAT CAN HELP NEWBIES THRIVE ON HIVE

Almost everyone who comes onboard hive comes with the mindset of thriving on the blockchain; unfortunately, a lot of newbies lose the spark to continually invest their time on the blockchain due to lack of support, disappointment, and the like. Today I'll be sharing some of the tips that have taken me this far, and I'm hoping newbies on hive will find this as a helpful tool that stands as a blueprint in their hive journey subsequently.

As someone who has once been a newbie on hive, trust me, I know how it feels. Being in a newbie's shoes is like walking into a strange land where you know little or nothing about, and despite all of your mindset to thrive, there is a possibility of attaining such if something isn't put in place. Below,  I itemize some of the helpful tips that'll help newbies thrive on the hive blockchain.

WHAT CAN I DO TO THRIVE AS A NEWBIE ON HIVE?
  • ASK QUESTIONS: When you're new to a place, it's best to ask questions in order to get acquainted with the basics of the place. The importance of asking questions cannot be overemphasized, no man is an island of knowledge, For a newbie, if you're fortunate to have an onboarder, then I'll suggest you ask as many questions as possible, because hive isn't all about just publishing a post or earning, and if you don't have one, don't shy away from asking some reputable people you'll meet on chain for guidance, because the answers you'll get will aid your progress on the hive blockchain.

  • PUBLISH TOP-NOTCH CONTENT: To thrive on hive, one of the core things you must do is publish quality content. If you long to get the best, then your content must as well stand out, and that will help the curator notice you, knowing fully well that you're sharing quality or helpful content that promotes the growth of the hive blockchain. If you're the type who wants to thrive in the hive, then you must stay away from publishing content that ain't excellent, and you should also make sure your content is original and not a plagiarism of someone else's. Do well to properly reference the source of any items that aren't yours.

  • ENGAGE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT: When I first joined hive, one of the most important things I was advised to do to thrive was to engage with others, and till this very moment, engaging is still essential; in fact, to me, engagement is the pathway to visibility on the hive blockchain. So as a newbie with little or no followers on the hive blockchain, it'll be hard for others to notice you, and for you to announce yourself to the blockchain, you'll need to communicate with other authors on hive, and when I say engagement, it doesn't mean you'll drop crappy comment on their post, but instead drop quality comments that'll warrant continuous communication and brood friendship.

  • ENROLL IN NEWBIES INITIATIVE PROGRAM: The @starstrings01 founded @newbies-hive initiative excels at educating newcomers about the details of the hive blockchain. These teachings cover the foundational rules and regulations of hive, goal-setting, markdown guides, blockchain games, and many others. Accordingly, in my opinion, the newbies are the top go-to suggestion that anyone can suggest a newcomer or an oldie join in order to learn about every aspect of the hive blockchain.

  • IDENTIFY YOUR NICHE: There are lots of people in the hive who want to thrive but fail to identify their areas of specialization in order to indulge in more of them; instead, most keep diving from one niche to the next. Hive is a very big space that cuts across several niches, and in order to thrive, it's of high importance that we identify niches and share content related to them in the respective communities. One of the benefits of this is that it helps you share quality and helpful content that others can learn from. And if I learn from your content, I'll definitely want to support you. Another benefit of this is that it helps advertise your niche and also draws prospective clients to you. I'm a testament to this when sharing my shoemaking craft.

  • PARTICIPATE IN CONTEST: Participating in contests on Hive is one of the ways to thrive because, via your participation, you'll most likely earn rewards for participating in or winning the contest. The last World Cup contest hosted by @hivebuzz Is an example of that. Another important aspect of participating in a contest is that it brings inspiration for what to write and quenches the power of writer's block. This has helped me a lot, and in the process of participating in several contests, I kept on thriving till this day.

  • JOIN DISCORD/ MAKE FRIENDS: One of the key impacts that aided my growth was joining the City of Neoxian channel, although it was then located on Matrix and now on Discord. This space helped shape me into the person I am now. One of the benefits of Discord and other community channels is that you'll get to meet other authors on Hive and ask questions that might sound silly on Chain. Another benefit of this is that you'll get to meet new friends who are equipped with mind-blowing knowledge about Hive and who'll be willing to dish all this knowledge out to you.

That's about all on my advice to newbies who want to thrive on the hive blockchain. These are things I've indulged in and have taken me thus far. I know if you put each into practice, you'll also thrive, but then it's worthy of note that all things won't be effective if you're not committed to hive, be consistent, and as well be a goal-oriented person who's dedicated to the course of excelling in the hive blockchain.

Thanks so much for your time, have a blessed and productive hiving experience.
