It's been an hectic day as I rally around the hospital premises trying to purchase the prescribed drugs and necessities required for the surgical operation schedule for Monday.
Indeed health is wealth, when we get to the hospital, by the sight of what we saw, we'll learn to appreciate God for the good health and free oxygen we breath in. Images from last year, after an operation
Someday ago I wrote about how my brother @marsdave needed an operation for the reverse of an ileostomy operations he when through last year, so we were given an appointment for earlier next week.
I got there at around 10am this morning and up-till now we've not been able to secure a bed or admitted into the ward, and yet they are writing list upon list of operation pack, drugs, and co. seems they are more interested in the fee than the our wellbeing.
An x-ray result
Once I was given to prescription, I went to price it at the pharmacy, then went to the payment point to make payment before going back to the pharmacy to collect the drugs. The drugs cost N7600 ($18)
Here are some of the purchase stuffs, am yet to buy fluid like saline
I also made payment for the operation pack which cost about N62,340 ($150).
In total today alone, nothing less than N ($168) as left my pocket, and more are still expected to be spent. Well the financial aspects is of little concern, I'm more concerne and hopefully that the operation goes well and successful without any forms of complications like he experience last time the operation was done.
Presently after waiting around in the car for some time, we decided to visit a nearby canteen in the hospital to get something to eat. So after the meal we'll hang around inside the car and hope to secure a bed today. So they can start attending to him, because he as been instructed to stop eating or taken anything from tomorrow.
Around this time last year, I was scared, but I guess being in the waiting room for about 4 different operations made be a little calm this time around
Please say a word of prayers and well wishes to @marsdave as he'll be going under the knife, thanks and stay bless.
