Given that it's a season of love, reunion, sharing, and giving, Christmas is one of the most exciting times of the year, if not the most. It's a time when we share love, celebrate with others, and spend time with family. For me personally, this time of year holds many special meanings, so today I'll share some of them with you.
Christmas, as we all know, falls on December 25, which means it occurs just a few days before the year comes to an end and a new one begins. In such circumstances, we've seen a lot of people set aside money from their earnings throughout the year in order to have something to spend the festive season with their family and friends, which is admirable, but what is Christmas and where does it originate from?
As most people are led to believe that Christmas is related to Christianity or the birth of Christ, there have been many misconceptions about the holiday. I've even seen someone express their opinion about Christmas because they are not Christians. Christmas is not a Christian tradition, and contrary to popular belief, Christ did not celebrate his birthday on December 25. However, I'll save that topic for another post.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT CHRISTMAS
Like I said earlier, Christmas is a season of love, gifting, and receiving. It's also a time of the year when we reunite with our loved ones, family, and friends and catch up after spending months apart hustling to make ends meet. And when I have to talk about what I like most about Christmas, it's the reunion it brings about among family and friends.
REUNION
- REUNION WITH FRIENDS: As an introvert, it'll be understood that I'm more of an indoor person, and that also means that I hardly go out or visit friends or family except when it's very essential, so the Christmas season is the time of the year that I try as much as possible to open up myself in order to get reacquainted with my friends and loved ones.
For example, I and my friends, with whom we graduated from the university, usually fix a date during Christmas to reunite with ourselves, and in such gatherings we discuss various topics, life issues we are passing through, and the victories we've been able to achieve. If there is an opportunity we discover too, we usually share it among ourselves in case others can benefit from it.
- REUNION WITH FAMILY: The Christmas season is a time when my extended family usually gathers in one place, as I mentioned in my last post, so we gather today in the house of our great-grandparents, where we usually come together as a family to discuss, bond, and exchange gifts and pleasantries.
This type of gathering is always beneficial to our extended family, because it's an avenue where disputes can be settled between any family members who are not on good terms with each other; it's also a time when we get to bond and know ourselves better; and lastly, we also discuss the various family functions that might happen during the course of the coming year and what is expected of each person to contribute to make such a success.

That's about all on the aspects I love most about Christmas, which is reunion with my friends and family. I hope you had a great time reading; the writing was prompted by the Hive Learners topic, and you can read through Kronia's post to get more information.
Thanks so much for everything, have a blessed and productive day ahead.
