Hello Hive Today I'll be sharing the process of installing the door and window frames.
The main purpose of door in the house is to maintain privacy and safety within the house when it is closed. While the window serve as an avenue to keep the house cross-ventilated.
Required equipment and materials
- Hammer
- Tape
- Bubble level
- Loamy sand
- cement
- water
- Trowel
- Shovel
- Scrapper
- Nails
STEPS IN INSTALLING THE DOOR FRAME Step 1: Scrapping rough edges of the door post with scrapper
Step 2: Installing the Frame/door
NB: in this case the door was built together with the frame, which is different from when door and frame are built seperately (and require installing the frame first) Step 3: Bracing and using the bubble level to determine if a surface is straight on each angles of the door
Step 4: Mixture of cement, sand and water and applying it into every angle of the frame (to solidly connect the frame with the building)
Those are the process of installing the door frame. Then we move to:
STEPS IN INSTALLING ALUMINIUM FRAME NB: this is after measuring the height and width of the door post, and the construction of the door. Step 1: Cutting the aluminium frame into the measured size. Step 2: Join the each angles of the cut frame with nails
Step 3: Scrapping rough edges of the window post with scraper Step 4: Installing the Frame to the window space
Step 5: Bracing and using the bubble level to determine if a surface is straight on each angles of the frame.
Those are the step by step guide of installing an aluminium frame.
