A stingy person can be said to be someone who doesn't fancy the idea of being generous to others, while a greedy person can be said to be someone who's only open to accumulating and acquiring stuff without giving others the chance to do so. I've had different experiences with such people at one point or another in my life, and even I have been regarded as both at various instances.
Being called a stingy or greedy person is definitely not a good thing, because for you to be called such, that means you most likely exhibit some inhuman character that displays an attribute of someone who doesn't care for others to the people who call you such, although we can't completely judge or stereotype them as being greedy or stingy simply because we don't get what we desire from them and we don't know what they themselves are passing through at that very moment.

Few years after I graduated from the institution, I was staying in the same neighborhood with a friend of mine who was then married. Things weren't going too smoothly for them because the marriage was one that was born in a hurry due to the fact that they got themselves pregnant. I was working and so was my friend, but his own income wasn't good enough to cater for his family so he has to seek help from me several times.
I was always happy to help both with cash and food items, just to make sure they were fine, especially the young wife and her baby. It even got to the point where I had to just drop the key to my house with my friend's wife so she could easily gain access inside to take whatever she needed whenever I wasn't around. This continued for several months until my friend got introduced to Fiverr and was lucky to get gigs with good income.
My friend moves from someone who earns ₦30k to someone who earns nothing less than ₦250k in a month. I was excited for him and even wanted to learn how Fiverr worked then, but I wasn't lucky enough to have a PC. Unfortunately for me, I had issues with my boss at work and had to resign, but I still have enough in my savings to cater for me for almost two months without any means of income.
I approached my friend for help the first time when my savings were almost exhausted, and what I got were excuses. I had to withdraw and think that he was truly not financially bountiful, but after about four attempts and getting the same, I realized he's just that kind of person who's stingy and won't even give or relate with you if he has nothing to benefit from you. It was a painful pill to swallow knowing that someone I dedicated my income to helping can't even give me a bottled of water.
Of course, I wasn't giving him then, so he could help me in my days of struggle, but I believe at least he should be able to aid his friend in any little way he can. I said he only helps those he can get something from because, while I was seeking his help, another friend of ours, who was the one who introduced him to Fiverr, approached him to lend him some money, and he gave that one, and the other friend told me.
Now let move into the situations where I am also regarded as being stingy or greedy, I can remember a few months ago when I was winning giveaways in the Neoxian city, even to the point where I won throughout a particular week. Some of my friends pestered me to give them some of my wins, which I declined, and these led to some calling me stingy and greedy.
It was hurting to be called such, and I told them my plight of how I took a loan and had to refund 100 HBD on a monthly basis until the loan was fully settled, so as a result, the wins are like God's blessings helping me gather funds to pay back my loan. Despite my explanation, they weren't still pleased, and by then I cared less, because I can remember asking one if he'll help me out if I'm unable to pay my loan, and his response was ruthless.
I guess I'm like the set of people that @burlarj was referring to in his post on this same topic: people who couldn't render help to those who needed it due to their own personal problems that were militating against them at that moment. Well, I'm less bothered by the stereotyping; I know who I am, and I have even given up my win twice prior to that moment without the person I gave it to asking for it.

That's about all of my experience with a greedy or stingy person, and as you can see, I also included my own situation of being tagged as a stingy or greedy person as well. I wrote this as my participation with the hive learners' community prompt stated in Kronia's post; you can read it to know more about it.
Thanks so much for reading, have a blessed and productive day.
