Hardwork, coupled with consistency and dedication always pays off when channel to the right avenue of things that will positively turns our lives around for good, this theory was made evidence in the life of Mr Samson, who happens to be a friend of my father's junior brother, and also attend the same church as my dad.
Mr Samson as I was told, and like he usually say whenever I went to work alongside his team during our free period, is a man who was born and raised in a village, and the only education he had was upto primary 3, during which he lost his dad to illness, and his mother follows suit few month after due to depression from the death of her beloved husband.
His grandmother took the responsibility of grooming him and his sister, but the elderly woman only has the capability to sponsor one of them to school, so young Samson said he told his grandmother to send his kid sister to school, while he went ahead to learn a skills, so while his sister went schooling, he was learning bricklaying.
Fast forward to few years after, when I was young and in my junior secondary school, I could vividly remember Mr Samson and his wife will visit my parents to beg for some amount or foodstuffs, so they can have something to eat, I remember his wife sometimes volunteer to help food for cooking and laundry of my cloth, which I believe was an act of appreaciating my parents for their support, and this was the case when they visit other church members too.
Though his wife was an NCE graduate, but she was underpaid in the school where she work as a teacher, while Mr Samson was a bricklayer who find it hard to see people call him for any construction project.

One of the cord thing Mr Samson did that gradually turns his life around was how he spoke with all our church members who own lands, and can afford to at least buy the necessary building materials, is that he'll help them gradually build their houses in exchange for food stuffs and some money to pay the labourers.
Our house happen to be one of such building he worked on then, and it was from one of such act that he gradually became visible from passers by who saw him working, and as well acquire new clients who pay for his services, he also told me he was working on one church members building the very day fortune smile on him, because a engineer walk up to him and said he loves how neat his work is, the engineer gave him a life changing contract to construct a government school, and after that still regularly contact him when he needed a good bricklayer to handle standard building.
Now from staying in a boys quarters with no furniture's and sleeping on mat alongside his wife, Mr Samson is presently a proud owners of two different fully furnished duplex, a landlord of a rented apartment, owns three block industry, several vehicles and a pountry farm.
His hardwork, consistency and determination to excel via bricklaying, despite different people advising him to learn other skills or go back to school, as finally paid off, Mr Samson as graduated from being someone who beg to feed is family, to someone who now lend to others and as well help other people.
His attitude towards work, consistency and strategy is worthy of emulation for anyone who wants to excel in life.
