To start with, I'll like to send my condolences to all the families of those who lost their lives during all of the attacks on innocent citizens during the mandatory sit-at-home rule imposed on the eastern Nigerian people by Simeon Ekpan and his Biafran/Esn people, which has now become a terror to the people, their properties, their lives, and the community at large.
It's worthy of note that I'm not against the eastern people getting freedom from Nigeria to create their own country, but then it seems so ridiculous and unthinkable that in your bid to break out from a nation and appeal for the release of your arrested leadership, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, all you do is enforce a sit-at-home law that is mostly detrimental to your own people's businesses and trade, and to crown it all, you still kill and destroy the goods and properties of your own people, whom you claim you're fighting for their freedom.
Pardon my manners about what I'm about to say, but I think all of those helping Simeon Ekpan enforce the law on the eastern people are dumb and stupid, because how can you obey someone who's not based in the country's command, not to go out and do your business, meanwhile none of his businesses are located in Nigeria, but in Finland, where he's based, yet he asks you to kill whoever among your brothers disobeys that law, and yet they're carrying out such instructions and killing their own brothers and destroying their own properties?
Now I'm sure you must be wondering why and how all of these have to do with the celebrities and why I said they're one of the biggest hypocrites we're dealing with in this country presently, and their actions, in my opinion, are mostly driven by money and fame rather than the betterment of the country and her people. https://twitter.com/PeterPsquare/status/1637033344029294593?t=jp3dKReOYO6QAv3MQ_5WNQ&s=19 https://twitter.com/PeterPsquare/status/1637072025599574016?t=jp3dKReOYO6QAv3MQ_5WNQ&s=19
For instance, prior, during, and after the last election held in Nigeria, most of these celebrities were ranting all over social media about how bad a certain candidate is and why we citizens should support a candidate of their own choice because they felt he was better. I've no issues with that, actually, but during all of their rants, I can remember how they all painted Lagos as being bad, unsafe, and filled with thugs, which is true to some extent. https://twitter.com/mrmacaronii/status/1644652073655435265?t=URiRYMF2M6OxxG2XYANitQ&s=19 https://twitter.com/PeterPsquare/status/1678048526364733440?t=TG3ZCDoACJ4OLioNBb7Dfg&s=19
The likes of P Square, Mr Macaroni, Falz, Kate Henshaw, Flavor, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and many others were some of the top ranters on social media showing the world what's going on in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria during the election; one even wrote to the USA president begging him to come in, but if you look at most of those I listed above, you'll notice they're most are from the eastern part of Nigeria, but none of them have come out to condemn the evil acts going on presently in the east; in fact, their social media handle is as neat as a snow when it comes to talking about the terrior the eastern people are passing through presently.
That is to show the level of hypocrisy of these celebrities, who are either being paid to blow the trumpet of their favorite presidential candidate or just using this strategy to trend and gain more followers and views to enrich their pockets, because if not, I see no reason why they would keep quiet about what is happening to their own brothers but rant about what is happening in someone else's land. Of course, Nigeria belongs to everyone, but that doesn't disregard the fact that we all have our individual roots that we should be on the lookout for at all times.
I stand to be corrected on this claim I'm about to make, but the reality and bitter truth is that there is no reasonable investor or business owner who would really want to invest in the east or move their businesses there given the continuous destruction of goods, properties, and even the lives of the residents, and the best thing to do is bring all this craziness to a halt or else it'll rise into something terrible that would chase almost all residents away from that part of the country in search of safety and where they can do their tride without disturbance.
My prayers are with everyone going through hard times in the east presently, and it's my prayers that this terror will come to an end and that peace will rain again in the eastern part and the entire country as a whole.
God bless Nigeria.✊✊✊
