THE FOOLS ARE AT IT AGAIN

The Nigerian gubernatorial election took place yesterday, and it's a shame to witness some irregularities among both the politicians, electoral bodies, and the citizens. I'm literally burning with anger as I type this article, and the reasons for my anger are on different issues, such as voter intimidation and playing on people's negligence by spreading fake news, to mention but a few.

To start with, the Lagos governorship election, which took place in my state of residence, was far from being free and fair, at least from what the opposition's party said from the comfort of their homes and not from a credible fact video that shows that what they claimed happened really did happen. To start with, I'll be talking about one of the fake news stories spread by the people of the Labor Party to the general public to gain public empathy and mislead citizens into thinking the other party was the evil perpetrator and not them.

The Labour party and their campaign team play a game of lies to deceive the general public that one Mr. Olumide Owuru is running for the seat of the state House of Representatives under their party and that he was ambushed and beaten to pulp by the opposition team; they even share several pictures to back their claim, which most of their leaders reblog, and before you know it, the general public starts throwing shade at the other party, thinking they really sent thugs to beat the young man up, but after a few finding.

It was discovered that the person they were posting online to deceive the citizens wasn't even running for any position, nor was he even fit to run in the district they were alleging that he's running in; even the pictures uploaded were later discovered to be doctored and were a photo of when the suppose guy acted in a movie 2 years ago.

Above is a Twitter link and post of the Labour Party governor candidate himself talking about the situation; meanwhile, the person in question wasn't even running for the alleged position, and neither did an attack happen against him; below is the final result of the election of the same constituency, which comprises the names of each candidate of all parties, and as you can see, the name of their candidate in that place is different, as are the attack pictures uploaded from a movie.

I wonder how long this deception will continue and when our people will wise up and realize they're being fooled. I'm not a party person and don't support anybody; in fact, in the past election I preferred the Labour Party candidate, but after checking some facts, I've come to realize that I was being fooled just like everyone else.

Here is a link to the video on Facebook, I couldn't get it on twitter.

While I supported no one but gave preference to Peter Obi in the presidential election, I prefer the APC candidate in this present election, and my reason isn't far-fetched: he's the most competent among all the candidates with a good and valid track record. I'm not racist, and many of my friends who are Igbos can attest to that, but I think most Igbo in Lagos wanted the Labour Party to be the governor because he's related to them in some ways despite being incompetent.

The only thing he has on his CV is being an architect and protesting alongside the citizens during the protest against police brutality, but I don't think that is a valid proof that you're competent to rule us. He even said on live TV that he doesn't think like a Yoruba man, yet he wants to rule in the Yoruba town. Some who claim to be Yoruba have openly said Lagos is a no man's land, and while Nigerians were agitating for separation, he joined the IPOB movement rather than the Oduduwa movement, which is Yoruba, his alleged tribe.

It's funny how many are wondering why Lagosians didn't vote him. The truth is that he's not competent, and he can't even speak the language of those he wants to rule over. Now, you might want to bring up the language issue, but truth be told, can someone who can't speak Chinese rule China? Or can someone who doesn't speak or understand French rule France? You should be able to communicate with those you want to rule.

I can go on and on with the deception of this labor party and the harm they are bringing to Nigeria as a country. They are the ones bringing about hatred and tribal issues between people around the country with their deception and the controversial candidate being nominated. I'm sick of it all, and it's a shame to watch them call others names that they themselves ought to be called.

We said Sanwolu is not fit to run because they are liars and killers of Nigerians during the elections, but the same happened in Anambra when he was the governor of the state, when many were killed at Awkuzu town, but we over looked his involvement in the killing and nailed the others. I also watched Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, say that if he were to be the Inec chairman, he would have done a better job.

He was quick to get that he was the governor of a state for 8 years and he failed to conduct the local government election throughout his tenure. I actually tackled this statement immediately after he made it, and many came to his defense saying, "Do I know the reason he didn't conduct it?" My response was swift because they don't want to listen to other candidates' reasons for doing things before they condemn them, and here is a picture of my comments under the same post on Facebook.

All I want is a better Nigeria, but the ones who we thought would bring us to that point are a bunch of liars and deceptionists who are playing on the citizens' emotions. I hope everyone wakes up to the reality and knows that all politicians are the same.

And my final bomb today is that GRV, the Labour Party candidate, is not a Yoruba man in any form, despite the fact that his father is a Yoruba man. I'll save that story for another day or say it in the comment section if anyone opposes it or wants to know more about it.
