Experience, they say, is the best teacher, and I couldn't agree more with that statement, because it's truly the best teacher. Each time we go through a situation or the other, each significant happening during the course of that situation automatically registers in our heads, and it goes on to be a life lesson that guides each of our steps subsequently.
Each day comes with its own experience, as do different phases of our lives, which teach us a life lesson via the experience we had in each of them. Down the years, I've had loads of experience that has shaped me into the kind of person I'm presently, so I may be restrained from some things, while others aided my engagement in other things. All in all, the basis of the lesson learned is what determines how we'll react thereafter.

THINGS FALL APART
A few years ago, I was in a relationship, and it used to be one of the very best things that happened to me until things fell apart. I was madly in love and usually go out of my way to please and make the love of my life happy at all times, but despite all my efforts to make things work and take the relationship to the next level, it seems as though I and my supposed partner had different plans.
It's seems as though she was never really appreciative of what ever I got her. She would literally demand for more once any of her friends got something much higher than what she had, but I don't really see that as a big deal because I would rather have my woman have the best of what she wants than let her groom due to her inability to acquire them. But despite how I overlooked the overbilling, she did something much more terrible that made me put an end to the relationship.
And after the act she did that made me end the relationship, I was so hurt to the point where I literally shy away from anything that has to do with relationships and the like.

LESSON LEARNT
-
Trust no one: One of the core lessons I learned was to never trust another, because prior to what happened, I trusted my woman 101% and wouldn't have thought for a second that she'd do what she did, and I guess having to trust someone that much and being let down led to me being super hurt to the point where I find it hard to trust anyone thereafter, notwithstanding the relationship I've had with such a person.

Don't show how much you care: Now, I know some might come out to go against this statement, but as far as I'm concerned, I learned from that experience to never let anyone know how much I cared for them, because I believe once they discovered they were so special, they started to abuse it to the point where you'd wish you had never cared for them in the first place.
EXPERIENCE I WISHED I NEVER HAD
Taking about the experience I wish I had never had I'll still go with the one I had above, because ever since the day I had it, and fast forward to about 5 years later, I haven't been the same person again. My mindset has changed, and so has how I relate to others, most especially with ladies.
Although I make friends with them and even joke around with them, immediately I realize it seems as though such friendship will lead to something more than that, so I basically draw back until whatever seems to be developing dies down, and this I do regularly because I'm afraid of falling in love once again.
Despite how much I love children and wish to have them all around me, I couldn't dive into a relationship because of my previous experience, and that was the major reason why I wished I never experienced it. Because if I had not had such an experience, I would by now probably be happily married with lovely children.
