Some impact of technical advancement in schools

Before the advent of technology, education had been improving, but not at the pace at which the implementation of technology has enhanced everything. I can remember keeping track of students and staff's information as one that consumed time and energy, but technology has changed all this, and now we can do some of the tiring activities like preparation of results, timetables, and several others with ease, compared to the amount of critical thinking and time it required prior to the implementation of technology.

IMG_20230601_144647.jpg Earlier this week, I and other colleagues who taught computer-related subjects in Lagos State were invited for an improvement training to help us understand the new update implemented in the Edu Pack application we use to do most of the basic academic-related activities with ease within the state. Although I felt the world had advanced beyond the current improvement the app is celebrating, it's still a good step forward as most other states are still in the act of doing all these activities the analog way.

IMG_20230601_144822.jpg We were all run through each of the new updates and how we can go by them with ease so we won't have to travel down to the headquarters each time we encounter one problem or another. Overall,  I think it's cool, especially when it comes to its act of automatically generating the details of students who met the cut of Mark. Another is how it can automatically generate a timetable once you feed it with the various subjects and your desired time schedule.

Another new development I admire is the fact that parents are now the ones who'll log into your edu-pack server to print out their children's results sheets. Prior to this, it was the responsibility of the school, and that cost money, but now all the parents need to do is log into the server with their generated pin, locate the file of their wards, and print out the results. Overall,  it's a great development.

It has other cool features such as being used for CBT exams, accounting analysts, calculators, staff and student sections to fill in information, and several others to mention but a few. This I believe eases much on the side of the teachers, although it'll be an extra Jon for someone like me who'll set up everything, but regardless, it's cool, and I felt other states should adopt it or at least use a better package.

That's about all on my message to you today, have a wonderful day ahead.
