The day of my medical check-up at the hospital most recently, when I was still in Ilorin and before I moved to Lagos state, also happened to be World Skin Day. As a result, the doctors who are experts in aspects of skin care came to inform us of some of the things we should avoid in order to stay healthy and free from all sick-related illness and diseases.

So they started by informing us about about the day being the day as being significant and should be used to create awareness on the importance of catering for our sick and the product we should avoid using on it all in the name of beautification and the likes.
Most people from my country usually bleach their skin, so they can have a whiter skin, and I can't help but conclude that the major reason why they don't that is because they feel inferior in their skin colour, or they just felt only those who are while can be regarded as been beautiful/handsome.
Truly that notion is very wrong, because regardless of the skin colour, we are all unique in our one way, but just to look more appealing to the opposite gender, we see people use different types of bleaching cream, whiting cream, body lotion and the likes, and this bleaching or skin tone cream contain a high sophisticated chemical that is capable of removing the first layer of our skin.
SIDE EFFECTS OF SKIN BLEACHING
-
The image above comprising of some of the list of body whiting cream commonly used by people to bleach their skin down here, and who of the danger of this cry is that, when it remove the first layer of our skin, the second layer won't be able to withstand the effect of the sun ray and radiation, unlike how the first layer of the skin would have.
-
Another down side of bleaching is that, this body lotion can lead to our having skins issues like skin cancer and other related diseases and disorders related to skin.
- The last and one of the other biggest impact of skin bleaching according to what the doctor said was that, make the skin so soft, to the point when such person get injured, it'll be hard for such wound or injury spot to heal, and in a situation when such person needed a surgical procedure, it'll be heavy hard for surgeon to stitch back the open parts of such person body.
The other image above here are some medicated cream people usually use whenever they've skin related issues like rashes, pimples and the likes, people usually dive into most of this cream and we were told they all have a very negative side effects that's similar to those using body cream.
But the notable effect is that the spot such medicated cream is been applied could get more fairer and bright than the other parts of the user body.
We were also told that it could lead to hair growing rapidly in such spot compare to other parts of the body and to be on a safer side, we should ways come for treatment and check whenever we have the smallest of health and skin issues.
In conclusion, based on the enormous downside they listed for most of this cream, we then ask them why body lotion is advisable to be use, so we can be free from this skin diseases and disorders.
They suggested Shea butter cream that as not be mixed with any chemical, also they suggested coconut oil, these are oil extracted from coconut and it's commonly called Adi Agbon in my tribe.
That's was about all we were taught, I got a whole lot of knowledge from their teaching and I'm sure other people did as well.
