My mom will most likely be angry with me if she gets to read about the contents of this article, but then it's what it is. Being faced with a tough question such as this, which requires making a life-bond decision, will get a lot of people thinking for several hours before coming to a consensus on which to go for, but for me, if I'm at a crossroads of a life decision that requires me to choose between love and money, my choice will be much quicker, and in this article you'll get to know it and why.
They say love is a beautiful thing, and in truth, it is, but with the right person who completes each other in all aspects, unfortunately, the reverse is the case for me in all of my previous love and relationship experiences. And these literally made me give up on love and the possibility of finding the right one.
Yes, I know many will oppose my opinion and stand against me giving up on love, giving reasons such as why I shouldn't give up on love because it's one of the best things that can happen to anyone and the fact that I should keep trying because the right person is right there somewhere waiting for me.
While I understand their point and would love to follow their advice, in reality, I'm tired of continuous heartbreak and someone playing with my emotions. Given the bitter history I've had with love, if I'm given the choice between true, lasting love and a whopping $200k, I'll definitely be going for the money.
We are talking about a whopping 152,000,000 million naira when converted into my local currency, and you expect me to ditch that for love that has taken me to hell and back on several occasions. No, I won't be making such a mistake. Money, on the other hand, has made a great impact in my life when love fails; it has helped restore happiness and helped me walk out of the depression love left me, so that is why I said my decision on this matter would be easy.
That amount is a huge amount of money that'll literally take me off poverty and lack and help me achieve loads of my dreams, building a desirable future for myself and my family at large, so I would definitely go for it ahead of love.
As easy as it seems for me to choose money over love, it isn't that easy because if I were to do that, I know my mom would get angry and most likely disown me. Her cry for me to give her grandchildren rings in my ears because she can't stop reminding me of the need to get married. Well, I can't blame her; she doesn't know what I've been through in my bid to bring her wishes to pass, and in the end, I gave up on it because of the heartbreak.
