Arsenal football club have gone from being a title elect to a shadow of itself in the past few weeks, and it seems as though all they've labored for all seasons is slipping off their hands in the dying minutes of the season. They've not been themselves since the resumption of the league after the last international break, which has ushered in a continuous run of losing points till they're just 2 points off City, who have two games in hand.
Within the space of the last 5 matches, Arsenal has gone from being 8 points clear of the table to being just 2 points above their closest rival in the title race. A lot can be said to be the cause of this winless run, but the most obvious is the absence of William Saliba in the backline. Since his injury prior to the intention break, Arsenal hasn't been able to keep a clean sheet and has kept on conceiving goals upon goals.
Despite all the happenings in the last few games, I'm not too disappointed with the team because never in my wildest dreams did I ever envision Arsenal being in the title discussion at the beginning of the season, but they surprised me and put in their best, and I must give credit to the young guys for the impact they've had on the team to bring them to this point, but as we all know, despite Liverpool having 99 points, City still find a way to go past them and win the league, so that deadly Liverpool team losing to City compared to Arsenal's young guns gave me some comfort that we ain't that bad.
With the results at the ethiad, it seems as though City have grabbed hold of the title, but I'll suggest the Arsenal team still give their best and subsequent games and hope City will drop points, but regardless of whether they win the league or not, these guys have done a great job and have had a fulfilling season in my opinion, because I'm certain their ambition prior to the season was to return to the Champions League, and this has been achieved.
Thanks so much for your time, have a blessed day.
