In the Volume 2 which is the final 5 episodes of La Casa de Papel, several hidden truths were finally revealed, as the gang made a eleventh-hour attempt to build a new life for themselves.
During the season 5 the heist gang manage to flush out the gold by dicing it into small pieces and then flush it out through the stream that flood through the vault to their outside station, using a pump and a pressure regulator.
At Episode 10 things begin to look stark for the heist gang. The Professor, who happen to be the leader of the gang, has surrendered himself to the police by walking into the bank, at the sight of his presence in the bank, all hope seems lost for the gang, and their mission was at the blink of failure.
Tamayo the Chief Investigating Officer list the offences, charges and amount of years each one of them will spend in prison unless they're willing to confess about the whereabout of the gold, also promising to give anyone who confess a new life, new identity and financial gift, Of which only Denver was the only who came out but ended up not saying anything.
Tamayo Hang the Professor and Lisbon separately and a room different from where the others were kept, and left them with the hope that they'll discuss about the whereabout of the gold, but they ended up talking about their love affairs and the Professor proposing if she'll marry him, of which she obliged by saying yes.
The Professor as display countless number of times that he is a man with several plan B, so with the help of his external link – he releases a video to the entire world, narrating how he rob the Royal Bank of Spain. The video instantly had a disastrous effect on Spanish Stock Market which is crashing drastically and investors predicting the bankruptcy and insolvency of Spain.
The professor again came up with a masterplan proposal to Tamayo, by returning the gold to the bank Which avert the lumming bankruptcy and reputation of Spain. Although it was later discovered that the returned gold were actually brass, which professor explain that security and wealth is just an illusion. So the Tamayo should accept it as a win win affairs and lie to the general public that all the heist gang were killed.
Tamayo accepted defeat, and agree to act as if the heist gang had been killed in the fallout, thereby allowing Spain to retain it sit as a secure financial footing nation.
At the end, the gang were all pronounced dead except Denver, and were carried out in a body bag, they were all handed new identity, new passports , new lives. Denver admitted to the Professor that he almost 'blown it up' with his final play.
So they get all that's needed to start afresh, and the Professor make sure he confirm the location of the gold from Sierra(turns out it's was hidden in the house Tatiana and Rafael built, and it's on it way to Portugal on the back of a truck). Sierra also got a new identity alongside her daughter to start a new life but didn't travel with the heist gang who all boarded an helicopter, celebrating and looking upto the the new life ahead of them.
Nobody would have imagined when it all began that they would be escorted to safety by an elite military team, and fly into a new life filled with gold and not having to worry about stealing again, without anyone knowing the truth(Except the Heist member and the Spanish Government)
What a series So captivating Filled with suspense The death of Berlin, Nairobi and Tokyo were the most painful, but it's normal to aid the suspense
