Resilience in Pursuing Passions Amid Financial Hardships

Being financially down to the point of being broke is what some of us have gone through at one stage in life; some are even going through it presently, but despite being in such a state, we've got to see some people still go out of their way just so they can get something due to addiction and the like. Just like those people, I'm no exception; in fact, there are some things that being broke won't stop me from getting, and I'll share them with you in this article.

There have been many cases and times in my life when I went broke. At some points, I'm so broke that I might not even be able to afford foodstuffs and some of my basic needs, but in such a situation, you'll still find me striving for something that to you seems unnecessary or irrelevant at that point in time given the fact that there are other important things I can do with the little I've got.

*So without further ado, let's look into those things that being broke can't stop me from getting.*

MOBILE DATA

Mobile data is one thing I can't do without, regardless of how broke I am. It might make me seem like I'm addicted to the phone or the internet, but who cares? Just get me that data, and I'm fine, and I might even forget my worries about being broke in a while. Unlike everyone else who might mostly only use mobile data to chat and do other stuff on the internet, right from day one I've always had the orientation of earning online, and with mobile data, my being broke status can vanish within a tinkle of an eye.

Now this doesn't necessarily have to do with earning from hive; even right from when I joined Facebook in 2010, I've always searched for how to earn on it, and via that, I do visit the official pages of different organizations that organize giveaways and the like, and via that, I've won loads of prizes ranging from smartphones to wristwatches, travel bags, microwave ovens, cash, and several others, to mention but a few.   So that's a huge pointer to why I couldn't do without mobile data from the onset. Now, in the present day, when I don't join such giveaways again, ok, Facebook, I need mobile data to surf through Hive, write content, and earn in the process.

Also aside from being a medium that can help me leave the broke state, it's also a way of being entertained that helps me get over my worries because, with mobile data, I can easily surf through the internet to watch funny videos from comedians, which makes me at least excited for a while. It's also a way to communicate with the outside world. As an introvert who loves being indoors, having mobile data will help me build community with friends and family at a cheaper rate.

CHILL CAN OF PEPSI

To others, Pepsi might look just like another drink, but to me, I tend to drink it as though my life depends on it, to the point where even if I'm broke, I'll still find a way to get it. I see the Pepsi drinks as what would calm my nerves after a stressful day at work. I love it chilled, and drinking one on a sunny day can make me refreshed and open-minded to do other pending tasks.

One way I'm able to get this drink despite being broke is because one of my neighbors who sells it is aware of my addiction to it and wouldn't mind selling it to me without taking a penny throughout the month because she knows I'll settle her at the end of the month. Yeah, I know that might mean going into debt while being broke, but my addiction to Pepsi doesn't make me see it that way.

That's about all I have on some of the things I don't mind going out of my way to get despite being broke, and they are written in response to the Hive Learner Community Features prompt. You can get more information about the prompt here.

Thanks for your time, have a productive week.
