HELLO FELLOW HOMESTEADERS AND FRIENDS
I warmly welcome you to my blog post this great weekend, and I hope you've enjoyed your weekend so far. Today, I'd like to walk you through the final step in the process of generating palm oil at home from palm kernels. This procedure is a continuation of the first one I described a few weeks ago.
Like I said in the first parts of these guide on making palm oil, that the purpose of making these palms oil from home is to be self sufficient, providing for my needs and meeting that of my relatives via so few activities, and in the end making these from as proven to be worth it, because when I out into consideration the amount it cost in purchasing 5 liters of palm oil and the amount and effort it cost me in making these, I felt I'm on the winning side.
MAKING PROCESSES
So in making these palm oil, after removing all the palm fruit from it bunch, the next thing to do is to pour the palm fruit into a very big pot, add enough water to soak it up and place on a stove or under a tense heated fire 🔥.
These will heat up for as long as possible till the palm fruit is very soft.
Once that is achieved, we can then pack the cooked palm fruit into a mortal, pound with a pestle till it's mauched.
The we can pack it gradually into a flitter, and raise the oil out of the cooked and mashed palm fruit, by so doing, we would have separate the chaff and kernel nut from the actual possible oil.
After these is don, we'll then pour the water use in raising the pounded palm fruit back on fire, by gradually paying the oily solutions that is on the surface of the water.
When placed on fire, we'll need to leave it there fir as long as possible, depending on the level of the heat coming from the fire.
The oil solutions alongside the water will be on fire, till the water completely dry up, leaving just the palm oil.
By then, we can easily pour our palm oil into any container of our choice, and the palm oil is ready to be serve or use for the cooking of any meal in the house.
After the whole process, I was able to get about five 5 liters of palm oil and few bottles from the three bunch of palm kernel.
And these I believe is a good return.
In my next post, hopefully I'll be sharing:
- The usefulness of the palm fruit chaff.
- The uses of the palm kernel nut.
- How to make a body lotion out of the palm kernel nut.
Thanks for staying with me thus far, I hope you've learn a thing or two from my guide, I look forward to seeing more of you on my blog post, have a blessed and productive experience in all your endeavours.
