The festive season is almost upon us, as we all know that Christmas and New Year's are around the corner, and in this period, people are usually in the holiday season, where they get to take a break from work to relax, and we celebrate the festive season with our friends and family. This period is usually common for celebrating eating, dancing, making Merrie's, traveling, and partying. I'm trying to plan how I'll celebrate the holiday, which is as slated below.
I actually had no plans of traveling initially and had planned on celebrating the holidays alone here with my friends, but then a close friend of mine from the university days who's also here on hive would be getting married this December, and in order to honor and celebrate with him at his wedding ceremony, that means I'll have to travel down home to celebrate the holiday season. This is because the location of his wedding is close to where my parents reside. Although I'm still contemplating whether I'll travel or not, with that in mind, I've got two separate plans for how the holiday season will go. One is slated for if I travel down to my friend's wedding ceremony, and the other is a program according to whether I didn't attend his wedding. So without further ado, let's see the two plans. Plan one: So if I attend the wedding ceremony, that means I'll have to travel down to Kwara State in the early hours of the 15th of this month because the wedding will be held on the 16th, so upon arriving, all I'll do that day is relax and prepare for the wedding ceremony.
The next day I'll attend the wedding and just chill at home till the following week; by Tuesday, I'll pay a visit to the hospital for a medical checkup. It's been ages since I last had a proper treatment or checkup, so since we're on holiday, I'll just go for the checkup and know what's up with my health. After that, there won't be much to do again until Christmas day, but as I'm not the type who loves outgoing or being among crowds, I might visit an amusement park or a flower garden to chill, and by Christmas, I'll just eat and chitchat with my family. I don't really have many friends, so I won't be going out at all after the first outing, and by the 2nd of January, I'll pack my bags and return to Lagos, anticipating the resumption of work activities. Second Plan: If I didn't attend the wedding, then I guess I've got loads of apologies to send to my friend, and thereafter, I'll wait to attend our end-of-year party at my place of work that'll be held on December 16th, after which I'll go home, relax through the weekend, and then pay a visit to the hospital the following week for a medical checkup. Yes, it shows up in both plans because health is important and can't be downplayed.
For the few other days before the Christmas period, I and other hivers who reside in Lagos were planning to maybe have a hive Lagos meet-up, so if we're able to conclude on that and agree on a favorable location and time, then I'll attend to see most of the guys I met on hive who reside in Lagos. Let's see how it goes in the coming days. For Christmas, I'll just buy frozen chicken and turkey, which I'll prepare to eat and also give out to my neighbors as a sign of love and care to celebrate the privilege of witnessing the year ending and welcoming a brand new year.
By boxing day, I plan on carrying my bags and traveling down to visit my relatives in Ijebu, which is about an hour from my place. That's where I'll celebrate the new year, and it's a good place to be because I'll have little or nothing to do because most of my juniors will do the major tasks while I just relax and eat, and by the 2nd of January, I'll pack my bags and travel back to Lagos to prepare myself for resumption.
