Greetings, fellow hivers! It's another Friday that ushers us into the weekend, and today I'll be sharing some of my experiences and views at the Ayetoro market in the Epe area of Lagos. It's an open-air local market where the community residents visit to purchase various items.
Although my visit this time around was to purchase some food items to restock the foodstuffs at home, the market housed a variety of items such as appliances and the like. If you can remember the last time I visited the same market to purchase some clothing fabrics a few weeks ago.
So the aim was to purchase some yam, which I must confess was very expensive, but then I still purchased about 3 tubers of the yam for 4000 naira; they were a bit big, so I think it's a fair price given the continuous increase in goods due to the devaluation of our current currency to dollars in recent days.
Along with that, I purchased some potatoes that were sold for 800 naira for each bunch. I brought two bunches in today, and I believe that, coupled with the tubers of yam, they will last for awhile before I need to restock.
I also needed some pepper to make stews for each meal. There were varieties of pepper I could choose from, so I purchased tomatoes and bell peppers for 1000 naira. I also purchased these dry peppers that can be blended and used gradually at home for other meals. The blended pepper cost 500 naira, and I blended it for just 200 naira at the nearest store.
I saw some ginger and would have purchased it given the many advices I've been given about how beneficial it can be to us, but I don't really like its scent, so I let it slide and just left the market and headed home.
That's all about my market experience and purchase at the market, and it's good to share my experience with everyone here in the market Friday community by our beloved @dswigle ; she's doing a great job bringing everyone's experience together to be a show here on hive.
Thanks for your time, stay bless.
