I first stubble on this challenge when I wanted to submit my application for the @newbies-hive initiative, and was planning on writing about my experience when @prechidi invitation to join came in, so below are the insight to how #imethive.
HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT HIVE
That faithful day, I was on my way to the market, when a call from my brother came in, explaining to me on how he came across a new social media platforms where you can get paid for posting your content.
WHO FIRST TOLD YOU ABOUT HIVE
@philips-afolayan was the first person who told me about hive via the phone call I mentioned above.
HOW WERE YOU SOLD ON HIVE
I must confess, I've was not easily convince about hive at first, in fact I immediately turn down @philips-afolayan request to join, because I felt hive is just like every other platform I've wasted my time and effort and they ended up fording up without me being able to withdraw my earnings. But he insisted and refer me to @monica-ene who now shed more light and also show me her proof of earnings and withdrawal. So I was sold to #hive base on how long it as been in existence and the proof of earnings and withdrawal of @monica-ene.
DID THEY TELL YOU HOW TO SIGN UP
Yes I was told and greater assisted in process of trying to sign-up by @monica-ene, sign-up wasn't easy as most platform to sign-up through were poping-up different errors like low IP address and co. I feel like I'm forever indebted to @monica-ene for all she's done in making sure I sign-up and setting my feet firm on the blockchain.
WHAT DID YOU THINK WHEN THEY TOLD YOU ABOUT HIVE
After I got to see and understand how hive work via explaination, *I was like wow, this is the hotcake.
WHAT WAS YOUR MOTIVATION FOR JOINING HIVE
- The financial income it provides is my major motivation of joining (I hope you don't think of me as a lover money ☺️, who doesn't!🤷) Well being an unemployed graduate I needed different streams of income, to make ends meet, and hive offers that.
- My 2nd motivation was the opportunity to advertise my craft with the hope of attracting more clients to patronise me from different nations of the world.
Both point are financial related because i felt it's gonna be a new stream of income for me in making ends meet.
DID YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD DO IN HIVE
Yes I do, from onset I've the mindset of promoting my craft and skills via #hive.
DID YOU FIND HIVE DIFFICULT
At first I do, in the aspect of knowing the right #tags to use for each post and also in choosing the community for each content. I could remember my post was muted in some community because I didn't follow their guidelines or my post was unrelated to the community But I've presently adapting and learning more daily.
DID YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU WERE TOLD ABOUT HIVE
Yes I do, I know the internet is filled with many life changing opportunities, it just that the fraudulent ones are more rampant, so that was why I was conscious after first.
So those are my pre hive journey and how #imethive. I will like to invite @monica-ene , @belemo and @starstrings01 to participate in the challenge, cause they are one of people I look upto on the blockchain and I'll love to hear about their prehive journey.
