Poets are among the groups of individuals I always admire and, in a different way, envy for their skill and intelligence in using words and rhyme to make it look so beautiful and captivating. Since I'm more of a story and script writer than a poet, I've recently begun practicing because their poems are often excellent and I wish I could write like they do.
One of my main advocates when it comes to writing poems is Mr. Dragon in the city of Neoxian. He frequently plans contests or simply encourages everyone to write poems for the fun of it and the glitz that comes with reading those works of art. I made numerous attempts, but they were never good enough until I wrote the most recent one, which received accolades from my fellow citizens for how much I had progressed.
The latest poem prompt we were given was on IOU and how certain people can't live without it every time they win a prize. I also wrote one, which I will present to you all here. Although my writing received praise from others, some people omitted to point out that it appears more like a story than a poem, but they later claimed that the rhymes make it fit under the poem category.

On the riverbank of the city of Neoxian lies a mystical creature popularly known as @b0s the great
.
These mystical creatures are known for their continuous hunger to have a taste of the dragon's doot, but despite their hunger, they never seem to be ready with a post by the time the doot is being shared with the citizens on a platter of gold... So whenever the doot ballot catches him by surprise, he regularly has no choice but to keep the Dragon waiting for 12 hours just to wash the dishes that will be worthy enough for the dragon to serve him some doot.
A lot has been said about this particular mystical creature who despite his hunger, is yet never ready to eat the doot while it is still fresh and warm but waits until it is as cold as Ice...
This has lead many to wonder if it was because of his busy schedule, laziness or Maybe he just derives joy from holding the dragon to a ransom of waiting.
But while that continues, he was named the lord of IOUs by the dragon himself, to make his rulership complete, he was given the Queen of IOU in person of @xawi, alongside them are @vickoly, @justfavour and others to mention but few who were ordained knight alongside him to rule the territory of the IOUs...

That's about all on the poem in IOU; if you're wondering what IOU means, it's simply an acronym for "I own you." Thanks so much for taking out time to read through my poem. Have a blessed and productive week ahead.
