MY EARNING AND COST REDUCTION STRATEGIES

With the advent of inflation we are currently facing, the amount one once earned isn't enough to cater for one's needs as they once did, and this has led to many sourcing for other streams of income and how to cut costs in order to survive the effect of inflation. Just like everyone else, I'm doing the same, and today I'll like to give you an insight into some of the mechanisms I've put in place to do just that.

It's not been easy dealing with all of these issues that follow the removal of the fuel subsidy, which then leads to inflation and an increase in the prices of goods and services, but in order to survive, I put some things in place to earn something extra and to reduce the amount I spend on items, and below are some of those things.

Growing my own food: I've been a homesteader for years now, although I've stopped since moving to a new place. But the advent of inflation made me have a rethink, and now I've started planting some food items such as cassava, maize, and vegetables, which I believe will go a long way in reducing the amount I spend on food items and the cost generally.

Ultilizing my craft/skills as a medium to earn: I used to sew cloth and was also an expert in making shoes, of which I usually share the DIYs of making them here on Hive, but since getting my new job, I've stopped due to a busy schedule. The impact of current events has led me to reschedule my activities to give room for utilizing my skills once again, and now I've once in awhile gotten orders from my new neighbors to make footwear for them, and these have become another stream of income once again.

Be most commited to hive and join contest: I've always been committed to hive ever since I joined the blockchain, but the current happenings have made me more committed to doing more contests and sharing quality and helpful content on the blockchain. I believe these are avenues to grow the community, help those who might find those contents helpful, and hopefully get rewarded as well.

These are some of the basic strategies I've put in place to help avert the current situation, and they've been doing just that lately. As I've had significant improvements in my finances and the amount spent in the past few months, you can as well take a look at these and identify what you can do to make a difference in your life to improve your earnings.
