My Crafted Footwear's From Last Week

As a cobbler there are week I made over 20 Footwear's, though that's whenever business are moving fine, building a shoe and as well trying to capture each process could be tasking most especially when you have a deadline of delivering some of the Footwear's to the clients, so today I present to you some of the Footwear's I make during week.

I sometimes laugh at my colleague's whom we graduated university together, that usually felt pity for me, because I work as a cobbler, and they have a white-collar job, it's funny because they felt I'm suffering, meanwhile I earn more than times two of what some of them earn monthly, but I usually pay along when they come with their sympathetic speech, since I've overtime told them I'm fine, but they refuse to believe me.

These are Footwear's I made in a hurry, but I usually capture the full process of at least 2 making of the Footwear's per week, so as to share the DIY process of how I make some of them, and hopeful someone will learn and acquire some knowledge on how shoes are been made.

IMG_20201222_143717.jpg Most of my Footwear's are relatively cheap compare to the amount the same type of shoes is been sold at the boutique, for examples some of these palm slippers are been sold at 6000 naira at the boutique, but I sold mine around 3000-4000 naora, most shoes are sold at 20,000 naira and above at a boutique, while the highest I've ever made and sold a shoe was 10,000 naira, they are mostly around 7,000 and 9,000 naira.

The price of shoes are mostly determine by the Quality of the sole and the materials use for the upper of the shoe, meaning the more expensive the material use is cost, will determine how much will be charge for the shoe as a whole.

I could buy a material of a shoe for 3000 naira, and sell the shoe at 5000 naira, that's about 2000naira gain on just one shoe, and there are days I made around 3 footwear, so if the gain was constant, that mean I could make 6,000 naira per day, that's more than most office or white-collar job will pay its workers at the end of the month.
