MY CORN-TREE A NATION IN SHAMBLES

Anger will be an understatement to best describe how I felt about the state of my country, in fact hopelessness seems too good to quantify the rate at which It seem impossible to achieve/attain a better nation under any form of leadership in this corn-tree Nigeria.

I wasn't feeling too well when I woke up today, so in the beginning I felt I won't be going to church, but then a thought came to my mind, that why won't I visit the church today being the first Sunday in a new month, so I pickup myself, got dress and went to appreaciate God for the privilege to witness another month, but then now I'm presently wondering if some of those who died in the terrorists attack inside Saint Francis Catholic church today in Owo Ondo state also felt the same way before deciding to just go, and now they've met their end.

From sanctuary to mortuary 🥺, have you ever imagine thanking God you didn't attend a church service!, I believe that's what the member who didn't went to church today will murmur out of their mouths, bad news seem to have become the order of the day in my belove corn-tree, cause I don't think it's worthy of being regarded as a country anymore, a nation where the rule of law isn't value, where the lives of human is meaningless to both the ruling class and the citizens ourselves.

I wonder what musician Asa saw when she sang the song fire on the mountain some years back;

I wake up in the morning Tell you what I see on my TV screen I see the blood of an innocent child And everybody's watching - AzLyrics

We basically wake-up to bad news every day, from Deborah who was brutally murdered for blaspheming, to another of such case in Abuja and Bauchi respectively, and yet nothing was done by the government, in fact instead several top government officials came out to openly defend the act, and for a seconds we were of the opinion that only the north isn't safe, but obviously that isn't true, we've seen different cases here in the south where people were killed for speaking up against the government, like we had during the End Sars protests in Lagos state and other parts of the corn-tree, we've also seen jungle justice in it full force among citizens themselve in different places like the case of the Sound Engineer who was burn to death because of 100 naira, this is a token that can't even feed a new born baby, and yet they've because if it took a life.

Despite all these happening, the government officials seems less concern about how people are dieing and suffering, they are more concern about the forthcoming election and how they'll be voter in, rather than how their citizens will have a decent environment to live in.

Yesterday while discussing with some people in the hive learners community discord Challenge, I saw one of the ways the government as blindfolded the mind of those who ought to vote them out, by making them believe their vote doesn't count and that they have the capacity to bring in whoever they wants even if we vote.

This is pretty bad and fake, because I made them understand that assuming their vote doesn't count, then the government won't be bribing people just to earn their vote, I hope we all get back to our senses and vote out these corrupt minded fellow off our leadership trail, because all they are after is to rule, enlarge their personal account and as well install their children into power when they can no longer run.

I'm not against those who want the country to split, this is obviously a failed marriage, and when a marriage isn't working out, divorce/separation is the best option for all parties, so they can enjoy their lives in peace of mind.

In conclusion, if we want this marriage/amalgamation to work, then the change must begin with us, from you, from me, a corrupted nation start from the family, if all parent can groom up a child in the right way, then such child won't grow up to become a menace to their community.

God bless Nigeria ✊
