Earlier today I was worried about what to blog about, then I came across the Neoxian City game topic for this segment, which cut across various conspiracy theories we've heard, and these particular ones I had in my head came to mind. I've always had doubts about some things when it comes to religion, and one of them is the idea of what happens to us after death. It's not like I don't believe in it, but I guess as someone who writes scripts for movies, different scenarios wouldn't stop playing in your head.

In my mind, I've always had this idea that heaven and hell were proposed notions or ideologies invented to encourage moral behavior through the promise of rewards and punishments after death, and this was probably aimed at keeping the world sane and away from all forms of chaos. Now imagine that despite all this being in place, we still have misdeeds. What do you think the world would be like if such things never existed at all?
One of the storylines in the script that plays in my head is the belief that there is no such thing as heaven and hell; instead, after death, we're reborn again to revolve the same circle of life just like it has always been from ages past, although with improved technology and zero to no memories about our previous lives. That's why, when we grow up, we tend to always feel like we've been through some situation before because it looks so familiar.

I'm sure, just like me, some of us have been through one of two things in life: while we were witnessing a situation unfold right before us, we could easily predict what would happen next and when it should happen. We began to wonder how we knew or how those things that just happened looked so familiar to you, even though you were just experiencing them for the first time. I guess the idea of being reborn over and over again to live the same life in the same world with improved technology is what caused that.
What I am driving at in a nutshell is that this life is just like a movie that's being played over and over again. When you die, you might not be born until after another 2000 years, when your previous generations have come back to complete their own circle, just as it was in previous lives. And that's why we had memories like I've experienced this thing before, even though it ought to be happening for the first time.
It's worthy of note that this write-up isn't against any religious beliefs or another, but just a mindset that plays in my mind on a few occasions when I think about eternity and the like.
That's about all for now. I hope you had a good read. I'd love to hear your thoughts, opinion and criticism in the comment section. Have a prosperous week ahead.
