A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a fellow hiver who's based in Europe to craft some footwear for them, and after my creation, I was about to send the package and realized the weight was less than the minimum weight I must pay for, so I decided to visit a fabric store to purchase some fabric for the hiver to help increase the weight of the package to be shipped down to Europe.
The place I went to pick up the package is located in Tejuosho Multi-purpose Complex Market in Lagos State, Nigeria, so while wondering where I could get other items to add to the weight, I looked forward and saw a fabric store that I was attracted to. So I went there to purchase some of it for my clients to add up to the minimum weight that must be shipped. The fabric seems to be of top quality and costs 2000 naira per yard, so I purchased 2 yards each from three different fabrics. Although I tried to bargain on the amount being sold, the seller wasn't willing to cut down the price; instead, he recommended less-quality fabrics to me, which I declined and just went with the initial ones.
I also went to another store to buy an African traditional fabric known as Ankara. I wanted a good grade, and I chose that of 7000 naira, even though there were those that were much cheaper but of lower quality.
In total, all the fabrics I purchased cost a total of 13000 naira, which is still a decent price for quality fabrics. I quickly went to add it to the list of packages I'm shipping before leaving the market.
My greetings to @dswigle for the excellent job she's doing as regarding the community Market Friday and hive generally, keep up the good work and stay bless.
Thanks so much for your time, have a blessed weekend experience.
