Good day everyone, I hope this meet you well, some days ago while working on the boots project a client ask me to do for his twins son's as a birthday gift, a lady walk into my store and ask that I help her make a palm slippers for her boyfriend, and here is what I made for him.
She actually show me a sample of the type of Slippers she wanted for him, which she later send to me on whatsapp, but since I don't know the source of where she got the image, I won't be sharing it here, so after bargaining on price and she telling me the footsize of her boyfriend, I set out to work and after 3 days I was able to complete her project and delivery it to her.
So here are some of the process of making the slippers and the materials I used.
MATERIALS USED
- Striped webbing material
- Thorn robe

THE MAKING PROCESS
- Firstly I cut the webbing material and the lining, use gum to attach them together and then sew it on a sewing machine.
-
Then I set aside the insole, outsole and the logo.
-
After which I rub gum on the front part of the strip webbing, join them together and tested it shape and size on a show last.
-
Once I'm convince about the shape and size, I insert the logo through the thorn robe and then wrap the thorn robe around the front part of the slippers upper.
-
Next I punch a hole on the insole and put the front part of the upper through it, then rub gum on the edges it'll be attached to on the insole.
-
Lastly I rub gum on the insole and the outsole, then place it aside to dry for some minutes, after which I join it together.
- And finally here is how good the Slippers looks like, the lady really loved it, and said it look exactly like the sample she showed me.
