Lessons learned from the Zealy campaign Thus far

The Zealy campaign for the month of September has been an overly insightful and educational one that has gone down as one of the best initiatives I've indulged in ever since I stepped on the hive blockchain. The reason for this can't be far-fetched, as it has equipped me with loads of ideas and knowledge about the hive blockchain and how to excel on the hive, so I've decided to highlight some of the things I've learned so far.

Firstly, it's worth noting that this current Zealy campaign was aimed at onboarding long-time users and investors to the hive blockchain and not just people who come in open and account and aren't interested in indulging in things that benefit the hive blockchain; it's also focused on educative web 2 users above the loopholes of web 2, which web 3 space has perfected, and the benefits they stand to gain on web 3 space.

So without further ado, below are some of the keys things I've gained via the campaign:

  • Important of Staking Hive: Of course, I knew a few of them were important prior to now, as being what gives me the ability to perform more activities on the hive seamlessly and also grants me the ability to increase my vote value and thereby increase my curation rewards, but what I did not know was that the more HP is what helps aid the successful approval of proposals initiated on the hive, that's, the more likely it'll get approved and sponsored.

  • Governance: I also get to know that the same HP grant uses the power of users to decide who we want to be in the arms of power as regarding top witnesses on hive BLOCKCHAIN, and the more loads of users vote for a witness who has an ideology that pleases the users, the more such a witness can have a voice in deciding prior to a hardfork and the like.

  • Onboarding: I've been trying to onboard some friends and colleagues to hive BLOCKCHAIN in the past couple of weeks, but then I've been skeptical about creating an account for them without them using it as they ought to, most especially when you realize most of the signup options that work presently are paid. I won't want to waste my resources opening an account for someone who won't be serious.   IMG_20231002_143040.jpg

But the way the Leofinance team integrates their current signup options seems cool, because as a new user, you'll have to show a sign of seriousness and participate in different activities that help the community understand you're truly here and not just here to add to the numbers, and it's only until then that keys will be released to such a user. That's super cool compared to other signup methods where keys are issued immediately and users may end up not showing up or being active after signup.

That's about for now, there are still loads of others stuffs I've learnt, but I'll be sharing those on a later date, thanks for your time and have a wonderful hiving experience.
