Yesterday while on my way to pay @monica-ene a visit, an accident that involves a tricycle and a Motorcycle occur right in front of me as I was about to cross the road.
It's was a terrible sight to behold, though thank God no life was lost neither did any of those involved sustain any serious injuries but few bruises. As it happened right in front of Me, I was so terrified watching the motorcycle being hit by the tricycle and both the passenger and the rider of the motorcycle fell to the ground and were sliding on the tide road, but thank God no other motorist was coming at that time, else it would have been something else.
One of the two major point of writing this post is;
- When the incidence occur, instead of people to rush to the scene to help those involved out, most people brought out their phones to take pictures and videos of what just happened. This habit is annoying, and almost same thing was all over the internet few weeks ago, where a young boy of around 21years old was about to commit suicide at the cliff of a bridge in Lagos state, the man who saw him instead of helping or talking him out of proceeding with his plan was busy taking video and asking unnecessary questions till the boy jumped into the lagoon and was brought out dead. I wonder where and when we lost our sense of care for humanity for fake social media empathy.
Well thank God I and few other rush to the spot and help those involved making sure they are fine and as well administrating first aid to their bruises.
- The second reason of writing this post is that before the accident occur, immediately I dropped from the tricycle that brought me to that point, the Half Shoe I was wearing cut(and I was surprised because I just brought it not upto 3weeks ago). But been a busy environment, I was embarrassed to pick up the shoe and just walk bear footed till I locate a shoe repairer. So I decided to drag it along and walk slowly till I locate one, and that was when the accident happens.
Unknown to me that the cut shoe was a blessing in disguise, I just thought about it this evening, assuming the shoe didn't cut at that moment it did, I might have walked normally and faster, which could mean I'll be on the middle of the road when the accident happen and could have been involved as well.
Well all thanks to God, I'm alive and fine, I proceed to @monica-ene place and return back safe and sound.
Thanks for stopping by my post, have a pleasant night rest
