HOW I MADE THESE BEAUTIFUL SLIPPERS FOR A CLIENT I MEET ONLINE

######

HELLO FELLOW NEEDLEWORKERS AND FRIENDS

Happy new week to everyone, I hope you've all started the week on a positive note and as well enjoying the best of your time in your various needlework fields, today I'll love to take you through how I made these gorgeous slippers for a online clients, who contacted me via Instagram, base on the different footwear projects I regularly upload to the space.

Though am not really use to Instagram, but base on the possibility of attracting new clients, I regularly upload some of my Footwear's project there, even though I might not login in days, but I realize the last time I login to check, I realize I've a private message from a man who message to make enquiry about how much I charge for different types of Footwear's, and after that he promise to get back to me.

Though I must confess, I usually don't take a conversation that ends with I'll get back to you serious, due to the fact that most people whom our conversation end that way, never got back to me, but I was surprised when this particular man came back and ask that I make him a lovely pair of slippers, one of the major reason why I didn't expect him to get back to me was because, he reside in another state, that's about 15 hours drive from where I reside, so when giving the prize I already added the delivery fee and also hike the price beyond what I regularly charge, because I felt he won't come back.

Well here he's, so after I got alert from my bank, I realize he really mean business, so I went to the market the following day to purchase his footwear materials, alongside those of other clients, and below are the process of how I made the Slippers.

MAKING PROCESSES

  • I began the project by cutting all the parts of the Slippers upper, which includes the leather material and the lining, then I rub gum on both neutral parts and join them together, after that I cut the Marco material meant for the insole and it linning and join the together too.

  • After there I sew the edges of the upper parts of the Slippers, tested the shape on a shoe last, then attach the logo design on it.

  • Once those were perfected, I started lasing the upper to the insole, then grind it with a grinding machine.

Finally I rub gum on both the insole and the outsole, let it dry for some minutes then join them together, after that I apply some super glue to the edges of the slippers, so it will join firmly together.

I've already send the client a picture of the Slippers, and he speak highly of it and was delighted with how the Slippers looks, and I've promise to go and the bus terminal, so I can discuss with a driver who'll be traveling to that part of the country, to help me delivery it to the client.

***Thanks so much for your patience, and sticking with me thus far, I hope you were able to learn a thing or two about Shoemaking from this project, till we meet again in the next project, stay bless, safe and have a remarkable week ahead.***
