So as to meet up with some financial needs that raises up during the week, After the church service today, I went to my farm to harvest some Cashews and it nut.
I've been very busy and engage lately with some financial challenges required for my brother's health issues, so I had no choice but to visit the farm to harvest some of my farm products, and these as been a regular for the past few weeks whenever I run short of funds.
Normally I wouldn't have harvested yet because the amount the cashews nut is been sold now isn't encouraging.
During the full harvest season, a bowl of Cashews but is sold as high as 5000 or 6000 per bowl, but now the people and company are buying for as low as 2000 or 3000.
But due to the financial challenges, I had no choice but to sell it at that price, and after harvest I was able to get about 5, bowl of Cashews nut. Meaning I was able to get 15,000 from the nut.
I also sold some of the cashews fruit to some market women, but they were reluctant in buying, because of how they'll preserve it and not having much them.
After selling and giving out some to the children around the neighborhood, I still have excessive ones that will waste away.
Though that is almost a yearly thing, as we cashews farmers tend to derived more income from the cashews nut, than we do from the fruit.
I hope this get to meet and settle some of my financial needs, and that the health issues fade off soon, since I already plan on not powering down on hive this year.
Here are some of the harvested cashews from the past few weeks and the ones I harvested today, these ones are left to spoil since I can't eat that much, I've given out as much as possible after extracting the nut from the fruit, and yet there are still exceed.
