Good day, amazing parents on the hive blockchain! I hope you're all fine and having the best time with your children. Today I'll love to share some helpful tips on some of the activities we can indulge our children in during school breaks in order to keep them active and enlightened. These are acts that have come in handy in helping me out personally, and I hope you'll as well.
School breaks should be seen as an opportunity to connect more with our children than we did while school was still on. Although the children might see it as a leisure time to just play, of course that should be allowed, but we as parents must find a way to incorporate some amazing activities that will help them grow, explore, connect with you, and start preparing for the next school section. In a nutshell, we should do this to strike a perfect balance between leisure and learning.
Those activities are listed below.
-
Family time: The number one and most important thing is that such a period will improve family time, and we as parents must use that as an opportunity to get to know more about our wards. Family times should mainly be spent going out for picnics, resort centers, movies, and the like. We can also use this time to learn about their lives outside the house and any issues they're going through. Kids don't have a parent-to-child relationship, and that makes them not free enough to tell us their issues. Such opportunities will help us draw nearer to them.
-
Cooking and cleaning:** This is an activity that's both funny and educational. While the children might see this as a fun activity by joining you in cooking or baking, it's also educational because they, in one way or another, learn how to cook, clean the kitchen, and clean dirty kitchen utensils.
-
Exploration: Visiting notable places during the school breaks is one way to help our children have fun and learn new things. For instance, visiting a museum will help them learn about past history and see artifacts and items from the past, while hiking and nature walks are also some fun activity options that can be considered during the school break.
-
Volunteering: Going together with our children to do some community service is a good way to teach them about love and the importance of gratitude and service to humanity, which can help them understand and adopt such acts. Such acts could be giving items to the homeless, beggars, helping keep the neighborhood clean, and the like.
-
Physical activities and games: During this period, we can also indulge in physical activities like football, table tennis, or board games like Ludos, Scrabble, Monopoly, and the like. These are fun activities that will also help instill some knowledge in them.
-
Creative arts activities: Creative art is one thing we can encourage them to participate in during this period, as it'll help them think wide and far. It could be drawing, painting, or tracing.
-
Learning online: Online classes and lessons from home are essential to keeping their minds active in their academics. It could be educational apps, toys, games, or even videos.
School activities are very essential for children to relax from tedious school activities, catch up with their parents, recharge for the next school section, and stay in good shape. I believe the activities listed above can greatly help. They have performed well for me, and I encourage you to try them as well.
That's so much for your time. Have a wonderful week ahead.
