Good day, hivers! It's a wonderful Friday evening, and today I'll be sharing my market experience and the items I purchased during my last visit to the market with you. It's a hard time presently because the advent of the fuel subsidy removal has led to an increase in all items in the market, but regardless of the increase, good is a necessity, so we must get it.
I'm not really the type of person who's bold enough to bring out the camera each time I visit the market, sometimes because I feel the marketers might not like it or just because I'm shy, but I still do it once in awhile. This time around, I couldn't do it because I didn't feel like it and another because the sun was shining hard, but I still took some photos of the items when I arrived home.
Before leaving for the market, I already had a list of items I wanted to purchase, and this was done so I wouldn't get distracted or attracted to other goods I might like but aren't on my agenda. Another reason is to stay within budget and not overspend, so on arriving at the market, I went straight to the various stores where the items I wanted to purchase are located.
Here are some of the items I purchased and their costs: the plantain cost ₦800 naira, while the egg crate cost a whopping 3000 Naira, compared to the ₦2200 I brought it for a few months ago. I also brought a liter of mamador oil, which cost ₦1000 naira, which also has an increase of ₦200 naira compared to the amount it was last purchased for.
Also, a kilo of turkey I purchased at about 2500 naira a few weeks ago now costs 3500 naira per kilo, and as the price of a kilo of Titus fish increases from 2200 naira to 2500 naira, it's still a bit decent even though it's much, and our hopes were that things would reduce in price rather than increase.
That's all on my Market experience from my last visit. I'll like to thank @dswigle for the great job she's doing in the Market Friday community, which has been an avenue to see into other People's culture, tradition, and market experience.
Thanks for your time, stay bless.
