Hello everyone, Happy Sunday and welcome to my blog. I hope you've had a wonderful weekend experience. Today, I'd love to walk you through my experience at my place of work in the just-concluded week as some Christian organization known simply as Gideon came in to distribute some New Testament Bible to the young ones.
Firstly, it's worthy of note that the school isn't a one-religion school but open to students of various backgrounds and religions, but in a bid to curb and constitute a good mindset in the lives of the young ones, the school authorities invited both an Islamic organization and a Christian organization to both come and give advice and as well preach the gospel of their religions to the students in other to curb some of the reasons happening around the society.
One of which are taking hard drugs, joining bad gangs, and cultism at their tender age, to mention but a few. Although none of these have been confirmed to happen in our school, we've heard cases of such in neighboring schools and in other to not just be the only one advising them on the danger, that's why various leaders of their religion body's were invited to give some helpful speech on the danger and repercussions of indulging in these.
The Gideon Christian Organization was the first to acknowledge the invitation and pay a visit to the school. After their speech on the various dangers that lie ahead for those who indulge in taking hard drugs, joining a bad gang, or practicing cultism, they brought out several boxes of the Gideon New Testament Bible to be distributed to the students.
In order not to cause any religion issues, the students were told it isn't a must to collect the Bible, but only those who are interested in it should come willingly for it. Well, I guess these students don't really like anything getting in their way, as everyone of them literally ran to the point of distribution. At that point, they were told it isn't meant to be just collected, but to make sure to read the content and put it into practice in their various lives henceforth.
At the end of the day everyone got a copy, some even got two despite being advised to take just one, but then the major thing is that hopefully these teachings and the contents of the Bible given to them will be effective in taming them away from any evil act whatsoever.
Thanks for reading, have a blessed day ahead.
