During my childhood days when I was about 9 or 10 years old, I live with my grandparent in one of the worstest place to raise a child in Nigeria, that's Ajegunle Apapa Lagos, But I was fortunate to be raised by Godly guidance's, who trained me in the way of the Lord, and to aid the Bible teaching, I was restricted to being indoor mostly to avoid being influence by bad elders and kids of my age whom most of them are already into smoking and drinking of beer at that tender age, so where am I heading and what's the the miracle? It's 👇
On that faithful evening I was watching a Nollyhood movie alongside my Uncles when my grandmother inform me that it's time to attend Bible Studies in Church (Deeper Life), I was so disappointed because I've been engrossed to the movie, cause it so interesting, and if I'm go to church,before I come back from church, my uncles might have finish watching the movie and return the cassette (it's was in does days when people rent movies from video club store, because buying the movie is quite expensive unlike now that you can easily watch movies on Netflix), in my disappointed state, I prayed a simple prayer aloud saying God please let them take the light and immediately there was a power Outrage, I was so filled with joy at how speedily God answered my prayers (even though my uncles were annoyed and almost scold me for saying those words).
I went to church happily and even share my testimony with my peer group in church, I got home after the Bible study and they brought back the light after some minutes, we then watch the movie. I thought that was all but there were more to come, because God still answer my pray on two other occasions relating to the first one, despite being on different days and time. But this time around I learn my lesson by praying my simple pray inwardly to avoid the anger of my uncles.
On the third occasion my faith and Believe was tested, though like always I prayed and my pray was answered almost immediately, but on getting home after the church program I realize my uncle had watch and return the cassette, because he borrowed our neighbors generator to watch it. I was disappointed, and the next time when I went to church, I told our children teacher I'll pray against the generator, but she advised me other wise.
As I grew up and got expose to some bad behaviour and also abusing/misusing the gift till I lost it😢😢.
The other miracle I'll love share with us happen earlier this year, when I was traveling back home after spending the festive season with my family in Lagos, I actually wrote about How I Was Save From A Gruesome Accident some weeks ago.
When I got to the bus terminal, the bus I met needed one passenger to be filled, but I was not allowed to enter, because the person I was supposed so sit beside, said I'm too fat, and instead of getting annoyed about his statement, I went to the next available bus without saying a word(these is unlike me, normal I would have get angry and reacted to his insultive words, but something in me kept me calm), and they left after seeing someone who's slimmer than I'm.
When our bus got filled up, we proceed with the journey, and after 4hours journey and about 30 minutes to arrive at our destination, we saw the bus I was stopped from broading because I was too fat, it was involved in a gastly incident, and was laying by it side on the road, we stopped and came down to check up on them, it was a very terrible sight to behold as the road was filled with blood, luckily no one die but most of the people inside the vehicle were seriously injured, we help transport them to a nearby hospital, before proceeding with our journey.
Till today I still can't pin point how I was miraculously stop and save from that incident, because if I had argued with the person or react back, I might have been allowed to enter the bus and thereby become one of the victim.
It can only be God, and I'll be forever grateful for all He as done for me.
