Celebrities and footballers are some of the top earners of these generations, and I'm happy for them, but what I felt was out of place or seemed like a loss of priority was when a teacher who groomed this set of people's earnings were less than theirs. Another disheartening situation is realizing that doctors who's job is to save lives, yet their earnings aren't meaningful. They deserve better, and their salaries ought to be reviewed and increased.
It's not like I'm jealous of what celebrities or footballers earn; what I'm only saying is that teachers and doctors deserve better than they are getting, and if footballers or other celebrities can earn that much for displaying their niche, then teachers too ought to get more, because they play a big role in the upbringing of a child and the building of the community and the future generally.
Almost every profession, if not all, passes through the teacher, and I believe a teacher in the right state of mind in all aspects is one who'll be able to disseminate and impact knowledge on these kids to brood and shape their future in a way that's morally right to uplift society at large, and one of the key things that can keep one in the right state of mind is the financial freedom, that most teachers lack.
The same goes for doctors who are also underpaid and deserve way better than what they earn presently. If you've been to the hospital before and seen the work rate of doctors when saving lives, then you'll understand what I mean by them deserving better. You can imagine being broke or having financial issues and yet you're expected to work towards Saving a life. I felt such a person wouldn't be in the right state of mind, and if such lives were lost, we'd only blame it on doctors being incompetent or some other issues.
I can remember a few years ago when my kid brother was seriously ill and was bedridden in the hospital. It's so shocking to realize that these doctors that are short of staff and had to work beyond their work hours are still being paid their salaries for 8 months. That seems so ridiculous. Imagine thinking they're underpaid, and yet the little they ought to get is still not being remitted to them. I wonder how we expect them to discharge their duties perfectly.
So in a nutshell, the doctors and teachers deserve better because they play a big role in keeping the world at bay and in good shape; without these two professions, the world wouldn't be as it is presently, but fortunately for them, we still have some level of literacy and ways of treating ourselves during sickness, so to repay them for the effort, they deserve a better pay that's as high as that of the football players and other celebrities.
The celebrities and footballers only work towards entertaining the people, and although entertainment is essential, it shouldn't be placed above vital professions like teaching and medicine. If these happenings of underpayment continue, then I won't be surprised to see that in the near future everyone will ditch the teacher and doctor professions for other profitable ones that would help sustain their families.
