This tutorial is base on my shoe, yes you heard that right, am sure you'll be expecting me to wear one of the best footwear's, if not the best as a cobbler, well that's true, but one way or another, I get discourage in making or fixing my own shoe, because no one will pay me for the effort, but now I think I've learnt my lesson, because it as almost embarrassed me in the church today.

I hope these meet y'all well, because today I'll be sharing a do it yourself tips on how to fix or repair a torn or spoilt shoe sole, to make it look so elegant and easy to wear about again.

MATERIALS USED

  • Nora material
  • Shoe wet - size(4mm)
  • Gum
  • Nails
  • Super Glue

PROCESS

  • After purchasing the noral material, and other listed materials above, I started by cutting out the torn sole out of the shoe upper.

  • Then I place the upper of the shoe on the Nora material to cut out the sole of the shoe. Note: I didn't get a thicker Nora material, so o had to cut the shape twice, so as to have a thicker sole.

  • In completing the sole building process, I cut a heel, apply gum on it and on the back on the sole at the point where the heel will be placed, and then join it together. After which I nailed it together with a 18-gauge nails at the four edges.

  • The next step is to apply gum on your sole and the back of your shoe upper, and then attach both together.

  • Shoe wetting process is the next phrase, and to achieve that, you'll cut your Nora material to a tiny straight line, then you'll apply gum on one part of it, and apply it to the edges of your shoe.

  • The last stage few step is to grind your shoe sole edges with the grinding machine, so you can have a smooth edges, as you can see from the last image above that the edges are rough. Then you'll apply super glue all the edges and other opening part so it can stick together firmly.
