Good day everyone, I hope you're having an amazing day this cool and pleasant Friday, today I'll love to show you the Slippers I made for a client overnight because I forgot to work on his project at the right time, and by the time I realize it, I've to make room just to finish his project and as well make sure he's satisfied.
The clients who gave me this project explained thoroughly on the design and the fabric he wanted for his footwear, stating that most of the other once he has, are usually hard on is foot, so he wanted a soft fabric that would be smooth on his foot and as well easy to move about with.
And after our bargaining on the prize, he said he'll be coming back after a week for his Slippers, but for some reasons which could be tag to being preoccupied with other projects, I forget about his, until he called me yesterday to remind me he'll be coming today for his Slippers, I just reply alright, not wanting him to know I'm yet to begin work on his project except buying the materials meant for it.
And even though I was about to close for the day when his call came in, I had no choice but to stay back and complete his project before heading home at about 8pm, when my normal closing time was 6pm, but I don't mind the extra time, In as much that I won't be disappointing my clients and in the process giving myself a bad reputation.
Some of the processes of making the footwear
- Cutting of each piece and material of the slipper.
- Rubbing gum on the linning and attaching it to the actual material.
- I sew the edges of the Dior designer fabrics, after joining it to it lining.
- I attached the Dior designer fabrics to the insole made of a jote rope fabric.
- Lastly I rub gum on the rubber outsole and the back of the insole, and attach them together.
- And here is the Slippers when I got through with it, it was very late at night by the time I finish the project yesterday, and once I got through with it, I happily went home knowing that my customer will be please by the time he comes for it today, and truly when he came for it today he was excited about the look and texture of the slippers, stating that it's more comfortable to wear about.
