Creative Sunday: preparing semovita, efo riro and chicken sauce

Good day everyone! It is another Sunday, which means another creative Sunday section in the hive learners community. Today I'll be showing my cooking aspect with y'all, which means today's creative Sunday will pave the way for chef Vickoly. Hehehe. Today I'll be taking you through the process of how I prepared an efo riro and semovita, a delicacy popular among Nigerians, or mostly the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria.

Since I stay alone, I've always been the one who prepares my own meal since I don't enjoy eating out or buying already prepared meals at restaurants, but I've mostly been too busy to create time to capture the procedures of how I prepared those meals. Well,  last week I decided I must capture this recipe, and the ingredients and process are listed below.

  • I placed the blender pepper aside, then wash my chicken and fish with water, after which I pour groundnut oil into the pot and added a onions into it.(the purpose of the onion is to prevent the oil from sprinkling around due to it being to hot and it's a hack I learnt while following chef few years ago). So I put the chicken and fish inside the oil one after the other for it to fry perfectly to my taste.
