Contemplating Life's Mysteries: A One-on-One Day with God

There are a whole bunch of people that come to mind when I see the ongoing topic of the Neoxian City, and those people that come to mind are my mentor, those I aspire to be like, and some reputable people in society, but on second thought, prompted by what I've been going through in the past couple of days, I made a U-turn on who I've decided to write about to have a one-on-one chat with God.

It's worthy of note that this write-up has nothing to do with any religious beliefs, and neither am I against any, but when the storms of life hit you to a particular point, you wouldn't know when you'd start doubting if everything you've ever believed in were real due to the fact that you felt things ought to happen differently based on your beliefs and how you've been programmed to see life.

Well, without taking much of your time, let's dive into the business of the day, which is who I would love to spend a day with if I'm opportune. Like I said earlier, I'll love to spend a day with God almighty, and that's because there are many mysteries that surround his existence and many unanswered questions that lie in the hearts of many who have gone through one difficulty or another.

Firstly, getting to meet him and have a chat with him alone would have already answered one question that revolves around whether he truly exists or if every story about him is just a fallacy to keep us in a morally upright manner, so after the pleasantries and thrilling, overwhelming sight of his glory and person, I'll dive into my questions because those were the major reasons why I chose to be with him among many other options.

• One thing I'll love to know and ask him during that meeting is how he feels when he sees different people believe in him yet are spread across diverse religions and contradict one another at one point or another. It's kind of disheartening when almost everyone around the globe believes you exist and sees you in different ways, and you wouldn't even step in to right all wrongs and also clear the doubt of those who think you don't exist.

• I'll also want to ask why the world has to be plagued with different diseases and sicknesses. Of course, books might say diseases came via one research or another, but according to my knowledge, you created everything, and according to my book dedicated to my religious beliefs, it stated that you created everything and deemed it good after creation. Does that mean the diseases, sicknesses, and pains they inflicted on individuals were also deemed fit by you during creation?

• I'd love to know how some people have things in abundance and yet some others can't even afford their basic needs. Obviously, according to how powerful you were said to be, you can make everyone rich and equal, yet I'm amazed you don't really care about your so-called creation, so I believe a date with you would bring more light to many of my unanswered questions.

• I'll love to ask and know why we must die and where people go after dying. I've heard about heaven and hell, and I'd love to get more details about them and how they all work.

• I'm tired of reading different books tirelessly in search of an answer as I try to unravel your mysteries. I'm also tired of being told about you by humans whom you created, especially when some of them contradict one another. Why listen to a creation when I can hear from the creator?

You're said to be loving, caring, empathetic, and so much more, but when we look at the level of injustice in the world, the rate of corruption, and the level of violence, I'm still lost as to why you kept quiet about it all. My date with him is to get him to answer all of my endless questions. I'll also love to see things the way he sees them, and even though I'm not pleased, I'm a believer, and yet I'm afraid I don't know what to believe anymore. Hopefully, the date with him will convince me.
