It was a fun and lively atmosphere at my place of work's pre-resumption meeting yesterday. Aside from the fact that it was supposed to be an avenue to plan, rethink strategies for the upcoming session, and the like, it was also used as a medium to appreciate each staff member for a job well done in the previous section, and to make that worthy, food, drinks, and recommendation letters were issued to the top staff.
As teachers, the academic performance of the students is our priority, and to achieve that, it's highly essential that we all come together and work hand in hand to achieve this, because such can't be achieved individually, but collectively we are a strong force that can bring out the best in these students.
So in other words, to achieve success in this field, we don't need to only see ourselves as colleagues but as friends and family, although just like every other family, we've had lapses and misunderstandings between us, but those were quickly settled in order not to stand as a barrier between us and success.
While those were going on, snacks and drinks were given to everyone present to keep their mouths busy while the meeting continued. Afterward, the principal made an announcement that she'll be issuing recommendation letters to some outstanding staff in the just concluded section, and after that, each staff member was called out with the status of their impact on the school. I was in charge of the camera, so I took photos of how everyone got theirs.
It was an exciting moment, knowing fully well that such can be presented when looking for a merit award in the staff as a recognition of the effort made in the place of primary assignments. Some teachers were fortunate to get about 3 letters depending on their impact in various aspects of the school.
Although we, the new staff that was recently transferred, got none, rather than put us down, I know it'll serve as motivation to do a great job in discharging our duties perfectly, so it's all good, and now I'm looking forward to the new section of the school that'll begin next week on Monday.
After all was said and done, one of the awardees stood up to give a vote of thanks to the principal and the entire management on behalf of others who got the recommendation letter, and once that was done, we concluded the meeting and said our goodbyes until Monday when school resumes.
That's about all I can say about my experience at the presumption meeting with my colleagues and friends. I hope you enjoyed the read.
Thanks so much for your time. I hope you had a good read. Have a wonderful day.
