BETWEEN US AND OUR ANCESTORS, WHO LIVED A BETTER LIFE?

While it appears that we in the present generation are much better off as a result of technological advancements, we can't help but also discuss the drawbacks these advancements have brought to us in various aspects, of which the majority of these side effects it had on our health and other aspects weren't in existence in t he past. So on the long run, we can only judge based on the history we've read about the days of our forefathers and how life treated them in their generation.

I believe the debate over who has had a better and more enjoyable life between our ancestors in the past and us in this generation could go on forever without the right point that could bring us to a consensus as to who has had a more decent life, When we look more closely at both, we'll see that both have experienced a fair amount of satisfaction, but that doesn't change the fact that both also have challenges that work against them.

TECHNOLOGY ANS COMMUNICATION

As for technology, as I mentioned earlier, I'm sure most of us are aware that the past generations required more manpower and effort in practically everything they wanted to do, including transportation, communication, cooking, and many more to name just a few. However, despite all these things that appear to be at their disadvantages, we can all agree that the significance of keeping our bodies active consistently cannot be overemphasized.

Due to the ease with which technological devices have been adopted to make life easier for mankind, our current age lacks the aspects of manpower. As a result, people are more likely to experience heart disease, joint pain, and other physical discomfort due to sedentary lifestyles than they did in the days of our predecessors.

When it comes to communication, our ancestors appear to have fallen behind because they lacked many of the tools available to us now. As a result, they had to rely on methods like bushing burning, town crier, diagram drawing, and many others whenever they wanted to reach a larger audience. They might even have to travel a long distance to reach someone they wanted to reach who lived elsewhere.

While all of these may seem like drawbacks, we can all agree that they also have some positive aspects. For instance, this tradition fosters interpersonal relationships and communication, which, over time, strengthens bonds with others in the online world of today, where everyone prefers to communicate virtually at the expense of in-person interactions.

SLAVERY VS RACISM AND CYBER BULLYING

One of the major failings of the previous generation is the aspects of slavery and feeling superior to other tribes and races. This is what caused many deaths and when render many hopes dashed, as many were left fatherless, motherless, in loss of identity, and unable to express oneself in the way they would like.

All of this was to the detriment of the people of that generation, who undoubtedly lacked a voice of their own and a free will to act as they pleased instead of acting in accordance with the demands of their masters. This is one of the drawbacks of the previous generations.

Racism and cyberbullying, which are now widespread, are what we mean when we say that slavery has been replaced by them. Because both physical and emotional maltreatment are extremely awful, both generations have generally seen their fair share of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

In summary, I won't be making the claim that one generation had a better life than the other, but I will state that the current generation still has a chance to make up for their mistakes and make life easier for everyone.
