Analyzing the factors that contribute to my ideal weekend experience

The weekend is usually seen as an escape route from the busy workday's activities and tends to be the perfect time to relax, go camping, bond with family, and several other possibilities, to mention but a few, although it's worthy of note that this isn't the same for everyone as our activities differ, so today I'll be taking you through what my weekend looks like and what makes a perfect weekend for me.

To start with, as an introvert who's mostly indoor, I'm the kind of person who doesn't really require much to have a perfect day, unlike others who might only see their weekend as perfect until they go clubbing, visit exotic places, and the like. The reverse is the same for me, and today I'll be letting you know why.

Well, without further ado, I'll love to take each question on this prompt one after the other, and hopefully, in the end, this will help you get to know me better. So, to start with, the first question asked was about when my weekend begins, and I'm just like almost everyone else because my weekend begins on Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday night.

As a public servant who worked as a teacher in a school, that meant I had to go to work from Monday through Friday because those are the active school days in my country, Nigeria, and my weekend mostly begins on Friday afternoon because the school closes then and wouldn't open again until the following Monday morning.

For the second subquestion in this prompt, which asked about what makes my weekend enjoyable, my weekend requires just a few things to be enjoyable for me, and they're as follows:

  • With love ones: The first is when I get to spend it with my family and loved ones. My weekend tends to be more enjoyable when it's among this set of unique souls because I adore and cherish everything about them, so being around them makes me joyful, and now that I stay alone and far away from them, I really miss such feelings.

  • Watching football: Another thing that makes my weekend enjoyable is football. Although I don't fancy playing it, I enjoy watching it a lot, so watching football really makes my weekend enjoyable, especially when my favorite team wins and most of our top rivals lose. It's always a joyful feeling to win, and I also mock my friends when their team loses.

  • Playing video games: Since I'm mostly busy during the week and hardly have time for any fun activities, the weekend is always the perfect time for me to enjoy myself by playing video games such as Peps Football game, GTA, and others. It doesn't matter if I'm playing by myself or against someone; as long as I'm playing, then my weekend is enjoyable.

  • Food: One last thing that makes my weekend enjoyable is the food. Since I stay alone, I'm less bothered about cooking on weekdays, but when it's the weekend, I usually see it as the perfect time to treat myself to my desired delicate, so that means I tend to cook good meals on weekends and don't eat junk food like I do on weekdays.

As you can see, almost all of what makes my weekend enjoyable revolves around being indoors, except for Watching football, which can still be watched indoors on some occasions. That simply shows that I'm not the type who require much to enjoy my weekend.

I tried to think deeply about what could possibly ruin my weekend and make it unenjoyable, but only two came to mind for now, and they're:

  • Without my phone: I know this might sound like I'm addicted to my phone, but that's what it is. A few weeks ago, my phone got damaged, and I had no device to keep me company throughout the weekend. It was a terrible experience, and I must say those were like the most boring weekends I've ever had in recent times.

  • Not healthy/lack of freedom: I always look forward to my weekend, and an absence of good health can literally ruin the weekend I've been looking forward to because I wouldn't be able to do everything I enjoyed doing. Another thing that can ruin my weekend is having uninvited guests or a surprise visit. I know that might sound like I'm a terrible person, but it's not so; it's just that I love sticking to my plans, and having uninvited guests will literally ruin that. I'll also not be as free as I would be when I'm alone or with my loved ones.

That's about all on what makes my weekend enjoyable and the like. I hope you enjoyed the read. The write-up was inspired by the hive learner community features prompt.

Thanks for sticking around till this point, have a enjoyable weekend experience ahead.
