A VISIT TO MY FLUTED PUMPKIN FARM // HEALTH BENEFITS OF FLUTED PUMPKIN

Recently I paid a visit to my vegetables farm, after being away from them for some weeks now, and one of the major one that catches my attention the most is the fluted pumpkin, and this is for no other reason than the fact that it did exceedingly well in my asbent unlike most of the other vegetables, Although one of the downside is that it as grown so big to the point where it spread it branches across the ground, beyond the seed bedding I made for it.

Going across the vegetables farm, I can't help but to be overwhelmed and stand in awe at the sight of how fresh and big the fluted pumpkin as grown, in fact this is the first time I'm seeing the leafs of this pumpkin grow this wide and big.

It was a blessing to me, because this will definitely be of great help to my family and I, in our quest toward being self sufficient, dependent as we improve our lives, health and wellbeing via growing our own food.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF FLUTED PUMPKIN

Aside being a common vegetable use as meal, the fluted pumpkin is highly medicinal and rich in nutrients that add great value to our wellness, blood circulation and as well use as a remedy for different health issues/challenges.

Talking about the health benefits, FLUTED pumpkin is;

  • A great source of blood production: This is a very common Norms in my tribe and in Nigeria generally, whenever we're been told our body is short of blood, the next thought that runs to our mind aside the tablet drugs is fluted pumpkin, Which is commonly called UGU locally, this is save more cost that the tablet drugs and are very effective almost immediately.

The process of making these vegetable to enhance our blood flow and production, is by simply squeezing the FLUTED pumpkin leave to extract the liquid in it, and this can later be mixed with cow milk and then drank.

  • Essential For pregnant women: The same solid made in the first benefits is also highly beneficial to pregnant women, like we all know that this pumpkin are rich in various vitamins like vitamin A and many more, and the liquid derived from the squeeze pumpkin leafs when drank by pregnant women, because it as the ability to control their blood sugar and as well aid perfect blood circulation in them. This also still benefits us when cooked as meal, and that's why I and my family use it to cook our soup that we call Efo, so that mean when we ain't eating it normally, we'll be extracting the liquid and have it as a drug that help us regulate our health, blood pressure, sugar level and much more.
