A Three-Week Health Rollercoaster

Health, they say, is wealth, and I can't agree more. The last few weeks haven't been too pleasant, as I've gone in and out of the hospital due to my poor state of health. One unique thing I've come to notice about the human body is that, no matter how little or small that part that's affected or injured is, it literally has a huge impact on the other parts, and one wouldn't be at peace until it's fine.

It all started three weeks ago when school resumed, and all of a sudden I was down with malaria. It's personally kind of annoying because, come to think of it, I was at home during the vacation for about a month and there was no sign of illness, and all of a sudden it shows up when the holiday is over. I couldn't sit back at home and relax because I personally felt like I'd seem unserious to my boss if I had to make such an excuse just immediately after we resumed after a month of work.

I'm always skeptical about taking drugs, but since it's a matter of health and I'm trying to stay fit for work, I decided to visit a pharmacy, and there I was given some drugs. But after a week, I'd been using the drugs; it seems the malarial subdue, but it left me with a sore throat, which makes eating and talking a hard task for me. I mean, how could such an event even happen to me? I'm a teacher, so I need my voice to impact the students' knowledge.

Again, I paid a visit to the pharmacy and was given another set of medication, which I tried as much as possible to stick to as prescribed by the pharmacist. Trust me, it's not an easy task because I'm the type of person who gets tired or forgets about his medication after using it for a couple of days. Well, after exhausting the medication, I'm happy to let you know the sore throat is reduced, but it also left another trace: irritation in my ears.

It's becoming annoying the way everything has been going for the past three weeks. Now one of my ears seems like it's blocked with dirt, but after visiting the pharmacy and checking it out, I was asked to purchase hydrogen and some cottonwood for the cleaning. Now we've used that, and there seems to be no dirt, and yet I'm still feeling like the ear is blocked, as I can hardly hear anything with it.

With the rate at which this is going, I guess I'll need to take a sick leave after all. If I monitor the situation this coming week and see no improvement, then I'll have no choice but to seek sick leave and pay a visit to the hospital for a property check so they can decipher what's really wrong.

Well, that's about all for now. I can only hope for the best, so let's see what next week has in store before I decide on my next line of action. Thanks so much for your time. Have a wonderful night's rest.
