SUGGESTIONS FOR REDUCING STRESS

  • TAKE A BREAK: Most of the reasons why we are stressed out is because of the workload we've engage on or the thought be bombard our mind with, so to ease our ourselves from the stress and damage that follows such pattern, it's be we take a break from such activities, take some hours of work to rest, sleep and set our mind towards positive thoughts that's far away from the once that got us emotionally drain.

  • TALK TO SOMEONE: Speaking with the appropriate group of people can help us deal with stress. One of such person is a therapist, who has professional experience dealing with stress and emotional instability. We can also talk to a loved one or someone who always seems to have the best thing to say to us at the right time.

For instance, my cousin is always the first person I turn to when I'm feeling down emotionally. She's younger than me, but she's full of encouraging words that literally help me to get over my upset and anything else that's working against me. We can all look for people like this in our lives and talk to them when we're in a tough spot.

  • ENGAGE IN WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY: Everyone has different things that make them happy; for some, it may be food, exercise, sleep, playing a game, or other activities. However, when we indulge in what makes us happy, it has the power to literally change our mood and the tension we're experiencing.

For someone like me, if I didn't call my cousin as previously mentioned when I was anxious, I would typically simply play video games, and by the time I was halfway through them, my nerves would have calmed to a significant level, so nurture yours and indulge in it.

  • LISTENING TO MUSIC: This may have been some people's favorite activity as I suggested in the previous tips, but even if it isn't yours, try to listen to a song—preferably a somber or peaceful song—because they have a way of calming our minds. In fact, music is reputed to be a medicine for the soul.

  • CONNECT WITH NATURE: Being surrounded by nature brings a sense of calmness and peace that is delightful to behold. The tranquility of the surroundings is also sufficient to soothe our nerves and restore our smiles.

  • RESTRATEGIZE YOUR SCHEDULE: In order to live a stress-free lifestyle, we should sit down and create a timetable that creates a free period of work and any other activities; with this in place and being strictly adhered to, we're undoubtedly one step away from a stressed out, burdened lifestyle. Most of the time, the activities we engage in are numerous and these lead to being stressed out from the workload.
