Children are said to be a heritage and a blessing from God; they are wonderful souls that a lot of people yearn for, but then In response to the community prompt for this week, I'll be sharing my thoughts and opinions on what I'd do if I were to mistakenly impregnate someone: would I terminate the pregnancy or let the child be? This write-up will literally speak on my personality as a person.
Over the years, I've seen and heard of people terminating pregnancies because, according to them, They're not ready to father or mother a child, probably due to their age, finances, or career aspirations. I can't totally blame them, as we all have different views and perspectives about life and things in general.
But on a personal note, if I were in that situation, I'd definitely not be terminating such a pregnancy. I'm a man who so much admires children and, as always, wants to have children of my own someday, so if by mistake I pregnancies someone and it seems as though I'm not totally fit to father a child, financially or in other aspects, I'll still want to keep the child because to me, terminating a pregnancy seems as though I'm taking the life of my own child.
WHY I WON'T TERMINATE THE PREGNANCY
-
The first reason why I won't be terminating such a pregnancy is because I love children and have always envisioned having kids of my own, so regardless of the circumstances, I see that as an opportunity to become a father.
-
Another reason why I won't be terminating the pregnancy is because, to me, there's really no difference between terminating a pregnancy and taking the life of someone, and if I terminate such a pregnancy, there's a tendency that I'll see myself as a murderer for the rest of my life.
-
Yet another reason why I won't be terminating the pregnancy is because it's against my faith as a Christian. Terminating pregnancy is deemed a sin in Christianity, and I can't agree less since the judgment that came upon Onan for ejaculating on the floor to avoid pregnancy is a perfect illustration of God's opinion about pregnancy termination.
-
The last reason why I won't be indulging in pregnancy termination is the danger that lies ahead. There have been several situations where some have lost their lives in the course of terminating pregnancy, and I won't want to live with such regret for the rest of my life, knowing fully well that I'm the reason why someone died untimely. Another reason is the danger it poses to the womb and the inability to bear any child again.

That's about all from my perspective on whether I'll terminate a pregnancy I had no plan for or not, and the write-up was inspired by the Hive Nigeria community prompt. You'd do well to get more information here.
Thanks so much for your support and time, have a blessed day ahead.
